SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Orange County Coroner's office is investigating the death of a woman who died just days after she received her second dose of the Moderna vaccine.
The family says the grandmother was healthy before she got her shot, and that her sudden death came as a shock.
A conversation with staff at the Orange County Coroner's office about Griselda Flores' death, raised red flags for her son Richard Cardenas and the family.
"They made it seem like this was not the first call that they had," Cardenas said.
Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner Brad Olsen says that's right.
Olsen told Eyewitness News a handful of deaths, including Flores', are under investigation because they happened one to three days after the person got a COVID-19 vaccine dose.
"That means our doctors want to run some additional studies, whether it be toxicology, micros or just a review of medical records to see their treatment course, and look for those other underlying conditions," Olsen said.
"But we haven't come to the conclusion yet that the vaccine had anything directly to do with the causes of death," he added.
Cardenas says his mom was a healthy, outgoing, hard-working mother and grandmother.
The day after her second shot on April 14 at a CVS store in Orange, Flores complained of the expected side effects, such as chills, body aches and a fever.
"She looked really pale though, and she just said she was tired, and she was going to go home and sleep," Cardenas recalled.
Two days after her second dose, Flores' family says they found her dead in her room.

The crucial difference between you (vaxxers) and us (anti-vaxxers) is that you may have totally wrecked your immune system. We haven’t. Do you somehow think that since we have not been vaccinated yet that we are forever prohibited from getting a vaccine. If more positive data comes in favor of the “vaccines” we’ll get one. If more negative data comes in against the “vaccines” we won’t get one. You, you can’t undo your experimental injection. And right now, the risks of adverse effects from COVID19 itself rank right up there with lightning strikes and shark attacks. But please, continue to act so self-righteous in your conviction that these “vaccines” are the be-all, end-all, wonderful, risk free, guaranteed sole solutions.
Afterall, we each have to live with what may be the most important medical decision of our lifetime. From the many posts/remarks you have made I am not at all surprised in your choice. You’re in great company, there are many “experts” here on FR that totally agree with you. And please forgive me, I admit I think the vast majority of people are easily led and just plain stupid.
And all that being said, we can still be friends. I am happy you are comfortable with your choice, just be happy I am comfortable with mine.

My MIL died of COVID (while others of us had it and did not even go to the hospital, including my OLDER mother). But I still haven’t changed my view that it’s not the plague - or the bird flu - that they’ve told us it is.

That’s one of my concerns. I just cannot reach the degree of conviction you have about the safety of these “vaccines”. “Transitory chills”? Do you have even the slightest thought/concern that maybe it’s your body telling you that you have just totally wrecked your immune system.
And all our previous comments to each other aside. There are many people that post they received a “vaccine” two, four, six, etc. months ago and they still feel fine. OK, I believe them. COVID19 has been around for at least a year and a half, I haven’t gotten a “vaccine” and I am still fine. It would be a strain on credulity to believe I have not been exposed to COVID19. It much more likely that I have already been exposed and naturally acquired immunity. In which case getting a “vaccine” is defintely the wrong thing to do. Especially since there is evidence that the “vaccines” destroy your naturally acquired immunity. You are so adamant in your stance that these “vaccines” are not only harmless but are the only solution.
You mock those who oppose testing on human beings by korporations and governments by coercion and deceptive means. May you, and your circle of friends and acquaintances, be so lucky to survive the next time someone else decides your health treatment.

I've already had C-19. I went to a frontline Doctor (article listed below) and was treated with HCQ+Zn+antibiotic. That was a homerun for everybody I know that became infected AND treated it EARLY! Regarding your first sentence, I’ve seen no convincing evidence of that.
Regarding the second sentence, I’ve never claimed that vaccines never have side effects and potentially, in rarer cases, severe side effects. If you check my posting history you’ll see that I most definitely don’t think vaccinations are “the only solution”. Natural immunity acquired from having the disease is at least as good as the immunity achieved through vaccination and BOTH contribute to herd immunity. I don’t believe in mandatory vaccination nor do I believe in advancing lies from either side on the question of COVID-19 vaccination.
Friend’s 39 year old son in law unexpectantly died of a heart attack yesterday. Parents suspect it was vaccine related. Father of 4 young children.
A ‘friend’ of mine. More of an acquaintance - her husband just died of a heart attack after his 2nd dose. He was in his mid 40’s. He was in normal health.
