High heels are like fake anything, you are not seeing the true picture. My wife didn’t even wear them at our wedding (1978). She said that those shoes had maybe a 2” heel (but, she was almost 5’ 7” back then. 43 yrs later she is probably an inch shorter). She wore high heels at our son’s wedding and hated them.
At a recent wedding I noticed a young woman that was taller than anyone else there. She got in line near me at the reception; me being 6’ 3” with my shoes, I judged her to be about 6’ 8”. Turned out, she was wearing shoes with 6” heels with about a 2” soles. She made me think of a scene where a giraffe is in the midst of zebras.
My wife, always the sensible woman, says, “why wear something that is uncomfortable and actually bad for your feet?”
The wind blew her off balance.
