Anyway, yes I don’t bother with acts that never made it in reality, because I know I like top 40 yet somehow they missed it. I have other fun things to do rather than find out why some rhapsodize (ha ha) about the genius of obscure acts only liked by 1% of the population.
You’d think they were Beethoven and Handel with a twist of Mozart, the way the 1% fans carry on. Heck I don’t even think the Beatles were pure genius either.
It’s just my opinion, period. Seems once you got past the first reply you couldn’t handle that someone doesn’t love what you do.
There were no personal attacks. You were just pissing and moaning about people who listen to music you consider obscure as if every time somebody listens to an album that didn’t go gold a loved one died. And I pointed out your aggression on the issue was silly and stank of misplaced ego. Because it DOES. That’s an observation. Why does it bother you that people will enjoy and talk about obscure music? Show me on the doll where it hurts you that Ozric Tentacle is very talented band that makes very music that has no mass appeal.

You don’t get it. Yes, it IS just an opinion that people overrate this music. It isn’t because they “talk and enjoy” - it’s because they constantly brag about how great these nobodies are and how much better it is than “popular” music. It’s true. And it comes up every single music survey I do here on FR (never mind reading of it for 20 some years) where people “piss and moan” about the top 10 of any given year - being popular! There’s not any good songs there, not as good as JoeBlow, I wouldn’t listen to it if it’s the only thing left, etc. Self-important arrogance abounds around these topics, constantly.

If you’d have said you listened to them and thought they were crap that’s a statement of opinion and I got no problem.
