Amazing how many of these were in my collection, but no Quiet Sun? Dukes of Stratosfear? Niels heavy concept album?

. . . or maybe really bad management/promotion?
Bands like Thin Lizzy or Uriah Heep might fit into the narrow “one-hit wonder” category for the USA, but they were huge in Europe and elsewhere, having multiple hits.

Hard to think that Terri Nunn auditioned for the role of Princess Leia.

Ok skimmed it.
Never heard of them except Frankie Lymon. Oh heard of the disgustingly named SexPistols but don’t know a thing they did.
More “album-oriented” fringe stuff.

LOL - I was going to mention Men Without Hats. The Safety Dance video was a big staple on MTV in the mid-80s, and that's the last anybody ever seemed to have heard of them.
They did a follow up album which was actually pretty good, but for some reason, never got any airplay or traction in sales.
To: mylife
They probably made subsequent albums, but I absolutely played the heck out of The Producers (”What He’s Got”) first album.
