An attorney for Elmhurst Hospital said at a court hearing Tuesday that a patient whose daughter sued to procure a controversial treatment for COVID-19 has begun to receive the medication.
The lawyer, Joseph Monahan, said an outside doctor was granted credentials to work at the hospital so he could administer ivermectin to Nurije Fype, a 68-year-old who has been in intensive care for nearly a month and is on a ventilator. She received her first dose Monday night, according to Ralph Lorigo, one of her attorneys.
Monahan said the hospital’s own doctors did not want to administer the medication, which is normally used to treat patients suffering from diseases caused by parasitic worms. The Food and Drug Administration has cautioned against its use in COVID-19 cases, saying its safety and efficacy for that application has not been established.
But some researchers and physicians say they have seen good results from the drug, and when Fype’s daughter Desareta read a news story about an upstate New York woman who recovered from COVID-19 after receiving ivermectin, she went to court to secure its use for her mother.
DuPage County Judge James Orel ordered Elmhurst Hospital not to stand in the way of Fype receiving the medication. When Fype’s own doctor was unable to administer it, Lorigo said, the legal team found another physician who had to travel “1½, 2 hours each way” but was willing to do it.
Lorigo asked the judge to order Elmhurst Hospital to pay that doctor’s fees, along with Fype’s legal expenses and a $25,000 fine, and to allow a nurse to administer the drug instead of the doctor. Orel declined, saying the hospital had met the conditions of his order.
“The medication is being given,” he said.

As I understand it... The FDA is not allowed to grant EUA if there is an approved therapy. There is big money and a massive global agenda behind pushing these clot causing vaccines.
I still can’t figure out why though. Side effects are bad and sometimes deadly, many vaccinated still get sick, and people still can’t return to normal activity after the jab.
I can’t trust anything coming out of this government when we are constantly being gaslighted and lied to.

You had a confluence, coincidental or not, at play. (1) The new virus had escaped from Wuhan and was frightening everyone. (2) Vaccine companies had developed some years ago mRNA technology to use in vaccines but couldn’t get to the point of human trials and were dying to try it. Doubtless they hoped that the vaccine would tackle all corona viruses and “cure the common cold” once and for all and thus felt some “collateral damage” was worth it. (3) The virus shutdown became advantageous for political reasons like destroying President Trump. (4) Approval for human trials of the mRNA vaccines were not possible if there was an effective therapeutic. (5) Third world countries were worried a run on hydroxychloroquin or ivermectin would mean more deaths from malaria and other disease these medicines were already approved to treat. All this combined to a perfect storm and it was too good a crisis to let it go to waste.
I know what you’re sayin but think about it. I’ve been called a horse’s ass enough I figure I’m good for it. Besides it ain’t hurt my molly mule or my two horses and I’d wager they’re healthier than most of the people here.
Willie says there’s more old drunks than old doctors. I say there’s a lot of old horses because they have old vet’s who ain’t scared to down a shot of Jack Daniels, Jim Beam or Ivermectin. I may be wrong but at my age I ain’t scared to risk it.

This story and the one from Batavia, New York, are at odds with your assertion. These people were on ventilators. That’s pretty late in the covid progression. I’ve read stories and watched presentations of a few doctors stating emphatically that ivermectin is a wonder drug for covid - at any stage short of death.
