The fedgov is going to subsidize electric and penalize carbon to the extent that is will be uneconomical to have a gasoline car or natural gas house.
I dread having to put in a heat pump...blows cold air all winter.
Scotty Kilmer is one of my favorites. His YouTube videos are very informative. And if we could only harness the energy from his constantly moving hands there’d be no energy crisis. 😄

Takes more energy to make these cars than is saved by using them. Then too, gas tax money is gone although if they do the by the mile tax ...

Liberals will have to believe in TBE law of gravity.
The real worry behind some of the plutocrats is that fuel resources will be depleted soon by an increasing world population and hundreds of millions of added drivers.
They should decrease commuting distances by ceasing their policies that include moving employees back and forth across the country so much. Give employees each time to adjust to one locale and find homes closer to work.
Don’t be so picky about employees. We don’t need university degrees for every kind of job. Many people without degrees are more literate, self-educated and motivated towards lifelong learning than many without degrees, contemporary journalism being a case in point.
If it’s a short trip and the temperature is moderate (requiring neither A/C or heat) they might make it back. Especially if the return trip is downhill.
But the good news is there’s a diesel powered rollback towing service at the ready to help out.
The thing about Scotty is that if you tied his arms down, he would likely be totally mute.
Between his windmilling arms and his shrill voice I find him nearly unwatchable, even though he can be very informative
AND entertaining. Just put the volume WAY LOW when he’s talking.

The shadow of the camera in some parts of the video reminds me of MST 3000, except Scotty is the one making the snide remarks.
Electric cars are the same as the ethanol scam, it requires more energy from fossil fuels to produce a unit of ethanol than a unit of ethanol provides. Batteries need to be recharges and that electrical power will be generated by burning fossil fuels. Both are being sold as “more environmentally friendly”. Hog wash!! It’s all a scam and it’s all about government’s control over us!
Ethanol is pushed by “Big Agriculture” and battery cars by “Big Wind” and “Sleazy Solar”.
God help us.
