"Many universities are moving to require students and faculty to receive COVID-19 vaccines before returning to campus in the fall. But one private pre-K to eighth grade school in Florida has turned that on its head, The New York Times reports today. The school last week told its teachers and other staff they should avoid the “COVID-19 injection” because of the purported dangers that vaccinated people posed to students.
A co-founder of the Centner Academy in Miami, Leila Centner, informed its 50 teachers and 25 support staff that if they choose to be vaccinated against COVID-19, they will not be welcome back on campus in the fall. Those already vaccinated will need to be separated from children while at school, according to a letter she sent to the school’s staff that was obtained by the newspaper.
Science was alerted to a similar letter Centner sent earlier today to the parents of the academy’s 270 students. Centner, a former financial executive, started the school with her husband, technology entrepreneur and Republican donor David Centner. In the more recent letter, Leila Centner writes:
It is our policy, to the extent possible, not to employ anyone who has taken the experimental COVID-19 injection until further information is known. … It is in the best interests of the children to protect them from the unknown implications of being in close proximity for the entire day with a teacher who has very recently taken the COVID-19 injection"

It sounds fabricated
Is this outfit affiliated with Nation of Islam (Farrakhan)?
That school better be ready to pay if an unvaccinated employee gets a bad case of that virus. It is not their place to make that choice for the reasons stated.
There will always be some specialist making uncommon claims.
A school district should not think they must take every claim seriously. Nothing would get done at all.
It sounds fabricated

Worse than that. The school is LYING. Projecting the fear porn anti-vax agenda.
When and where has there ever been an idea that suggests vaccinated people might pose a risk to the non-vaxxed.
I’d get a vaccine just to piss these morons off.
Leila Centner shared nonsense conspiracy theories all over her social media. It’s unsurprising she’d Karen up the school rather than allowing people to make their own adult decisions.
It was never about vaccine choice: it was about taking the option of getting a vaccine away from everyone who wanted it. Parents are up in arms and have been all over local media upset about this. It’ll get reversed pretty soon.
This is another great satire article from The Bee, right?
I get that so many anti-vaxxers are afraid of getting a shot. But to even think that getting vaccinated poses a risk to others?
This is great sarcasm.
Or supreme paranoiac moonbattery.
Silly. Ridiculous. Even more absurd than COVID vaccine as condition of employment.
It has never occurred to me that a vaccinated person could pose any threat to me. Maybe I should think of it but I’m much more worried about how the vaccine itself would affect me.
I would certainly not disallow vaccinated people.
Ms. Centner directed questions about the matter to her publicist, who said in a statement that the school’s top priority throughout the pandemic has been to keep students safe. The statement repeated false claims that vaccinated people “may be transmitting something from their bodies” leading to adverse reproductive issues among women.
I don’t understand how the shedding conspiracy works but there is active research going into menstrual irregularities. Not for those who’ve been vaccinated though.
This area of study is a huge passion of mine as someone who believes the birth control movement set women’s health back for decades. As a Catholic. Im just in awe of how little concern is paid to the well-being of women’s fertility.
This is crazy. Getting vaccinated should be a personal decision.
Sorry typo:
I don’t understand how the shedding conspiracy works but there is active research going into menstrual irregularities. Not for those who’ve been “near” the vaccinated but those who have been vaccinated. ***

Fertility is none of your employers business.
I get that so many anti-vaxxers are afraid of getting a shot.
Interesting statement. I am not an anti-vaxxer, but I definitely will not be getting this “vaccine.”
The phrase, “Afraid of”... If we are classified as being afraid of this shot, then the other side is clearly afraid of getting the virus. A virus that is 99.85% survivable.
I am still amazed how the world is so concerned with something that is 99.85% survivable. They act as if it is 99.85% terminal. It is truly a real life Twighlight episode.
Thanks. That vax position is very unique.
Personal decision?
Not when Congress refuses to pass blanket WuFlu liability protection.
What a coinkydink.
I understand your concern regarding fertility.
But have you ever in your life read that some one else might be transmitting something from their bodies that would affect someone else’s fertility? Maybe if that person had been eating large quantities of radioactive lead.
This is NUTZ!
