N/A. YouTube Video.
I’m 63
Police treat u different when you’re old
When I was a young long hair
A beating was easily provoked
Some black urban cops are just looking to beat a wood
A classic.
Absolutely a classic. Chris Rock may be a turd, but he sure gets it spot on with this one.
I was so thinking about this video today!
Last time I got stopped by a cop, I was real nice as usual. I commented on how unusual it was to have a cop approach my car with a mask on. He laughed and thanked me for being nice to him.
“When I was a young long hair A beating was easily provoked”
I’m the same age. Never once when pulled over did politeness and respect ever result in a beating by any cop. Ever. I drove a Chevelle SS 454. Aggressively. When caught I simply admitted it. And, was extremely polite. Several times my respect got me off with a warning when the infraction could have cost me a suspended sentence.
This pattern continued my whole life. When the lights go on pull over ASAP. Roll down the window. Put both hands on top of the wheel and be polite and respectful. Works every time it’s tried.
Suspended LICENSE!!! How I wish FreeRepublic had an EDIT function!
Chris Rock originally did this routine as parody. It’s evolved into a common sense training video.
Everyone 15-21 should have to watch it annually.
I can only surmise that with the revival of this video his career, if not more, is effectively over.
LOL, at the comments...
“ain’t no black people in minnesota”
George Floyd has entered the chat
I was in Mississippi
A mite different about long hair
Same experiences here. Got let off easy a lot when young. The last two times I’ve been stopped I could have been ticketed but wasn’t.
Politeness and outright courtesy toward an officer got me out of a ticket I deserved...I did exactly what you do with window, lights, hands and had my docs in hand when he got to my window...Suspect my veteran plates may have helped because he asked me if I served...
Young CO State Patrol Trooper, very professional and courteous...He seemed shocked I treated him like a human being...Thanked me for my courtesy...
Sent his Sergeant a note of thanks and commended the Trooper...He deserved it...
Back in the day of a billy club shampoo.
heh heh heh. Lol. Forgot about this one. Thank you.
What are the litigious folks with no impulse control, don’t take their perception of being disrespected well, react with extreme violence, and then blame everything on a system?
