Look, that soap-on-a-rope can be lethal in the hands of a trained killer.

I have never approved of using dogs in law enforcement. Seen too many sketchy things with them.

He will probably get some kind of settlement, seeing it is possible he didn’t hear the police commands while he was in the shower.
When I read that the defendant was witnessed slamming a woman’s head into a steering wheel, then pushing her out of a car, I’m thinking this is a very cruel man who had Karma pay him a personal house call.

“sending a dog into a residence is exactly what I taught my handlers not to do.” Precisely. This seems like negligence in the extreme. What if there was a small child in between the police and the suspect?
On the other hand, if you're showering in a house with two women. Lock the bathroom door.

"The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
I don't see any limitation on the amount of force to be used. It must be in the penumbra.
