There was a sixth person who was seriously wounded. I fear it may have been a parent of the grandchildren, possibly the son or daughter-in-law of Dr. Lesslie's.
I would like something better than he was a PoS.
The suspect apparently had brain damage from playing football.
But were there prior incidents? Did he have quarrel with the Leslies?
Did the voices in his head target them?
A motive of some sort would be nice.

Like most kids I suffered concussions as a child and I never had any desire to kill doctors and their families. Turn a couple of them upside down and shake until answers fell out, yes, but not kill them.
Murder suicides are generally people who are upset that there are happy normal people in the world. And they must be punished.
With any luck, the NFL would be DISBANDED over this. They’ve worn out their welcome with many (maybe most) Americans.

Sorry I don’t buy the concussions excuse. They guy made nothing of his life after an unmemorable NFL careers.Troy Aikman has had 8 concussions (thats just in the NFL) and I have yet to see him open up on a Walmart with an AK-47.

Then there are the people doing the crimes you listed. How were they raised? What environment were they brought up in? Did getting special treatment because of their athletic skills contribute to their lack of impulse control and sense of responsibility? These problems may be much harder to deal with than the concussion issue. They can’t even be spoken of aloud, let alone be addressed.
Very interesting. I have some friends whose sons have played rugby.
