Tuesday’s press conference caused many to view the ongoing controversy involving Deshaun Watson differently. Among the many now viewing the situation differently, apparently, is Nike.
Via CNBC.com, the sports apparel giant has suspended its endorsement deal with Watson.
“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and have suspended Deshaun Watson. We will continue to closely monitor the situation,” Nike said in a statement.
The move comes a day after two of Watson’s 22 accusers in civil court have revealed their names. One of them, Ashley Solis, appeared and spoke at Tuesday’s press conference.

What are they whining about? Watson simply employed the Nike motto “Just Do It”. BTW, I didn’t see the words “without pay” in that suspension announcement. If the checks continue, that suspension is toothless.
BTW, anyone going to suspend Nike for their use of slave labor camps in Asia to make those expensive shoes and clothes? No?

Pretty stupid when there are likely many thousands of women in Houston who would have sex with him for free.
Not saying he is guilty/liable for these “incidents”. The best part of this case is that it matches up the best personal injury attorney in Texas, Tony Buzbee against Rusty Hardin, probably the best criminal defense attorney in Texas; maybe even the country.
Some of these women might get a judgment against Watson, but getting a guilty verdict is going to be pretty much impossible. Rusty Hardin is that good.

Guess it’s wrong to snicker at sports products when their spokesperson usually ends up behind bars.
