The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

First four words...
AUGA strikes again and it was almost as fast as I could pick the letters.
The two Ps in the first two words were a big clue. I guessed at the second letter for one of those words, which made the second word inevitable ... and then used that "P" letter to make educated guesses about a couple of other words until a clear pattern emerged.
I've been through two pots of coffee reading FR threads and shaking my head at all the un-figure-out-able (for lack of a better word) (or actual word for that matter) chaos inflicting the world and chomping at the bit for a jumbled mess to make heads or tails of.
