NCAA brackets are BUSTED. Oral Roberts upset Ohio State and UNT just beat Perdue.
Back when it was still “North Texas State”.
I went to watch UNT play SMU when SMU was the other pro team in Dallas. After SMU played their fight song the UNT band played it a little faster and a key higher. The SMU band followed in thighs key. Then the UNT band repeated the song again a little faster still and another key higher untill the SMU band gave up trying to follow because they couldn’t play that high or fast. It sounded like a 33 1/3 LP turned up to 78. We lost the football game something like 32 to 7. But the SMU fans hated the UNT band.

I guess they need fans back. Make it interesting and unbelievable must see TV. It’s fake Jim. It’s all fake.

I was on campus at Oklahoma University in the.1970s and OU football played NTS several times as their early season nonconference tune up. Unlike most such teams, North Texas was stout and brought the wood. They could last a couple of quarters before getting worn down. NTS was respected.
A couple years ago UNT went to Arkansas and tanned the Razorbacks’ hides in their stadium, although Arky was pretty bad, it still was a shock to see UNT do that to an SEC team.

I didn’t have any of the upsets (other than Syracuse topping SD State) but don’t worry. People cry every year that their brackets are completely smashed on the first weekend but if your Final Four is still intact (as mine are) you can still survive and win the local pool.
March Madness is a marathon, not a sprint.
