Flubros and Flubras! 1 year anniversary (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

Today is the one year anniversary of “It’s just the flu, bro”. Let’s summarize all of the important ways that we were right over the past year: 1.the Coronavirus is approximately the same in terms, of lethality, as the flu. 2.the government shouldn’t strip away liberties in order to make people be/feel safe from germs 3.kids aren’t affected by coronavirus (don’t discuss extremely rare exceptions as that would be stupid) 4.vitamin D and zinc will boost your immune system and provide some level of protection against coronavirus, or any virus 5.each person is responsible for their own immune system - it is not a government function 6.mask wearing did very little to help anybody 7.the CDC is full of crap 8.Fauci is full of crap 9.if we aren’t vigilant in opposing this tyranny now there will be long term reductions in our liberty due to medical socialism/tyranny 10.those who profit from Coronavirus do not want this to end (vaccine manufacturers, politicians who like tyranny, contact tracing companies, etc.)

There were many other ways that we Flubros were right, too numerous to mention here. But we should remember that we have been the voices of reason who helped our fellow Freepers from getting seduced by those who would strip liberties from us.

And you get posters to the thread. Not like Kojak who still has not figured out that he is not sucking on a lollipop.

If it is a biological attack, they didn’t do a very good job. Only 2.5% of deaths occurred in people under age 45. The people making the decisions to lockdown are in the higher risk groups..

C19 was/is a rousing success for our enemies. Trump is out, and in his place is Biden, a bought and pair for Chinese agent.

As a supposed Dr you should know this and seek help:

What are the causes of pathological lying?

There has been extensive research into the causes of pathological lying, and there is no one answer as to why people feel the need to lie so compulsively. Although there have been personality disorders and behavioral disorders that have been associated with the need to lie, there is no simple cause of the issue.

We can’t answer the question of pathological liars with one simple answer. There are so many contributing factors that can cause someone to lie so often and become so convincing.

Most commonly, pathological liars are lying to try to hide behaviors or addictions that they are not ready to give up, such as alcoholism or drugs. So they lie in order to hide these behaviors and keep up these addictions.

In other cases, they have had a difficult upbringing and lying has become second nature for them in order to get by.

More seriously, however, pathological lying can be a symptom of a much greater problem. Pathological liars have been known to have personality disorders such as Narcissism or Borderline Personality Disorder. These disorders require professional medical help and can be dangerous if not properly addressed and treated.

Although these are extreme situations, you should always take caution when approaching a pathological liar. If it is someone you feel close to, then you should encourage them to seek help for this to find the underlying cause.

No dispute there. My take is it was an accidental release and then covered up.

Your ignorance is unbelievable.

Your numbers are based on deaths versus tested positive. That is an insane way of looking at statistics.

You have no way of knowing how many people are/were positive and you would have to know that or at a minimum project that to come up with reasonable death rates.

Based on the PCR test you could also include Influenza A & B in with your results since the test is so F’d up.

CDC Antibody Studies Confirm Huge Gap Between COVID-19 Infections and Known Cases

The difference implies that the virus is much less deadly than it looks, but it also makes contact tracing a daunting challenge.

Newly published antibody test results from half a dozen parts of the country confirm that COVID-19 infections in the United States far outnumber confirmed cases. The ratio of estimated infections to known cases in these studies, which the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported on Friday, range from 6 to 1 in Connecticut as of early May to 24 to 1 in Missouri as of late April.

These results confirm something we already knew: The COVID-19 infection fatality rate—deaths as a share of all infections—is much lower than the crude case fatality rate—deaths as a share of known cases. That is bound to be true when testing is limited and a virus typically produces mild or no symptoms. At the same time, the CDC’s antibody studies imply that efforts to control the epidemic through testing, isolation, quarantine, and contact tracing will not be very effective, since they reach only a small percentage of virus carriers.

You’re right.
It properly included the 40% of Grand County covid deaths where the decedents were correctly diagnosed as having died of covid moments after they were shot.
Get a life.

Koz,
Do you lie to your patients with as much ease as you do about this?
You have shown no contrition at any step of the way.
Shame on you.

My next door neighbor’s 27yr old son came down with symptoms, tested positive for Kovid, and was told he had BOTH the flu and Kovid at the same time. You should have seen the eye rolls when they told me. What does Worldometers classify him?

Now the interesting thing is the son’s stepfather, my neighbor, is a retired career Army physician currently working for the largest hospital system in our near five million metropolitan area.

The mother is also a retired career Army surgical nurse that retired from a local civilian hospital who homeschools the son’s 10r old daughter at home since the schools were shut down during Kovid.

I have never seen them wear or take off a mask all this time or “social distance”. They don’t even have or use a UV light box!! The nurse absolutely will not take the vaccine. He had to due to hospital requirements.

It’s curious, I can only conclude that an AF “flight surgeon” is smarter than both an Army doctor and nurse. :)

The yearly flu statistics have NOT been gathered/kept the same way as the C19 stats. For instance, my father died in 1999, at age 85, of heart failure while recovering from the flu. His cause of death was listed as heart failure. This year, under the same circumstances, his death would be attributed to C19, even without being tested for it. There were/are strong incentives for attributing deaths to C19.

You know what? I think you are correct. I can see the facial structure similarity in his studly “flight suit” picture in his profile, for that one flight he sat on in the AF.

Happy one year anniversary. It has been a good place to exchange ideas. May we not need a second anniversary but remain vigilant to those who would seek to steal our liberties.

I suspect your neighbor’s story accounts for the fact that we have supposedly magically had almost no cases of the flu in this country this year. It is quite possible to have both the flu and the cold (Covid) at the same time, since they are two different viruses.

In most cases, they never tested or recorded statistics for the presence of the flu virus, and were only interested in the cold virus (Covid). The symptoms are the same, and the opportunistic infections (pneumonia) are the same. Probably a great many people had both and actually died of the effects of the flu but simply weren’t tested or recorded...this is the only thing that could explain the magical disappearance of the flu this year.
