Since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve read hundreds of studies on the science of medical masks. Based on extensive review and analysis, there is no question in my mind that healthy people should not be wearing surgical or cloth masks. Nor should we be recommending universal masking of all members of the population. That recommendation is not supported by the highest level of scientific evidence.

I’ve had bronchitis twice since this insanity began. It takes several weeks for the cough to clear up.
The cough is just about gone and now spring allergy season is beginning.
In your twisted logic, I should stay home for weeks at a time.
If I did that, my employer would give me an opportunity to stay home as long as I want.

Masks are PART of an effective protocol. Masks ALONE are useless.
Imaging the doc going into surgery: Scrub, mask, clothes, gloves, enter theater, do stuff, leave, trash mask, gloves, and clothes.
Next surgery, do it again with new .
So if you want effective protection, you’d have to follow the protocol above every time you change environment.
Dare to go to the grocery store? Scrub up and dress before you leave. When returning to your car from the store, do it again.

I read somewhere that Moderna’s own patent application referenced their shot as a ‘gene therapy and not a vaccine. Maybe it’s just quibbling over terminology.
It’s really not just quibbling. All they claim is that it reduces the severity of Covid symptoms. That is what makes it a therapy treatment rather than a vaccine by even the loosest traditional definition.

You are looking at this protection thing from the perspective of avoiding infection from others. That is not how it is suppose to work. The purpose is to protect others from what you have. You may be asymptomatic and be a carrier. Before entering a public area, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and use disinfectants spray to spray down your grocery cart ...
