Durham will have Russiagate indictments ready in 6 – 8 weeks, says John Solomon

If Durham is allowed to proceed with indictments of serious power players, then the conclusion that we are becoming a banana republic without the bananas can be suspended for a while.

The shockingly lenient treatment of FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who lied to a federal judge in order to keep spying on Carter Page, has led many of us to despair that justice will never be done in the greatest political scandal in American history, the use of the FBI and intelligence community resources to spy on the presidential campaign of Donald Trump, and to bring him down once elected. But John Solomon, the journalist who has broken more stories on the

scandal than anyone else I can think of, offered a ray of hope yesterday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on her weekly must-see Fox News Channel show, Sunday Morning Futures.

In the second half of the interview (full interview here), Solomon revealed that his sources (which have been excellent) indicate that a senior member of the FBI leadership group around Comey and Strzok has turned state’s evidence. Solomon also believes that Durham will have indictments ready in six to eight weeks.

However, and this is the soul-crushing detail, Durham needs Department of Justice approval before going ahead with indictments.

Durham will have indictments ready in six to eight weeks.

What a bunch of drivel. 6 to 8 weeks???!!! How long has Durham been looking into this? Starting Day 1 he had a roadmap on where to look.

The blind hog has already collected a bushel basket full of acorns! I could have gone to law school to learn what an indictment looks like, passed the bar, taken a celebratory world cruise, and still put together an indictment in less than 6 weeks.

I would never have believed this on Day 1, but it became obvious Bill Barr was a deep-stater who appointed a like-minded John Durham to investigate into oblivion. There will be justice for all this the same day Al Gore admits in a press conference that he perpetrated HIS hoax to make himself rich on the backs of suckers, then looks at his interviewers and laughs. .

If there were any real threat of someone notable getting indicted, Biden would have fired Durham and closed down the investigation, something the media would have allowed him to do.

That he didn’t tells me that all the major players will essentially be ‘exonerated’ by Durham.

Barack Obama - and Joe Biden - used our federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies like Watergate Burglars and got away with it. This will only embolden them. Think about what they’ll get away with next.

-- Things were always about to break open "next week" ... --

The first word in the article is "if."

The extent of accountability on this subject is harsh words from a few in the government, and distrust of government by a certain number of those not in the club.

Think back of other instances where government claimed to hold itself to account - whether by hearing or court case. None had the effect they claimed to be advancing. Church Committee (no more snooping on political threats), FISA drove the snooping underground and gave it more protection. Special Counsel Danforth whitewashed Waco. ICIG Atkinson, a supposed "watchdog" for the people, used his office to provide a foundation for the first fake impeachment of Trump.

I can't think of a single thing the government has ever done, that was honest. All for show.

I’ll believe that when I see it. How many times have we gone thru this, only to have absolutely nothing good happen?

-- Do all special prosecutors need DOJ approval? --

There was once a law that provided for the creation of an "independent counsel" by congress. Congress allowed that law to lapse.

Now the possibility of a special council is entirely within the DOJ, with ultimate control by the DOJ. The extent of independence depends on how gullible or trusting the viewer is.

All the regulatory details are at 28 CFR 600. This is not statutory law, it is regulation created by DOJ. This is the regulation that Rosenstein abused to appoint Mueller, and Mueller in turn used to abuse the public.

Here’s the long term forecast:

If and when any decisions about indictments are looming near, the NYT will publish a bombshell: “NY AG finds evidence of Trump-Russian connection”.

NY AG is busy searching for a crime, any crime, in years of Trump’s tax returns (the whole process is illegal, but they are Democrats, so laws and legal tradition don’t apply—it’s Beria time in America). If there is no plausible crime no problem. Every NY real estate tycoon is almost certain to have done business with someone connected Russian developers, investors, lenders, sellers, buyers.

Unnamed FBI sources will confirm that those Russians have been connected to Russian mafia and intelligence, either active or former KGB. “How do we know? Sorry, can’t reveal sources and methods/ongoing investigations/etc. Everyone knows all Russians are Kremlin agents, so we don’t need no stinkin’ evidence.”

Trump Russian Collusion Hoax is reborn; FBI plotters against Trump declared heroes unfairly maligned for their zeal while trying to protect the country; indictments are derailed. Any counterarguments are declared white supremacy and suppressed by media. Any questions?
