It's no secret that President Obama is an avid reader. But, he just got even more cred with book-lovers by praising everybody's favorite children's author: yep, Obama loves Dr. Seuss. In a Q&A session with interns, Obama admitted that "pretty much all the stuff you need to know is in Dr. Seuss." And of course, he's spot on.
Obama won his way into the hearts of book nerds last year when he declared that reading novels made him a better citizen. (And considering he's the leader of the entire country, he's pretty much the best citizen there is.) Obama claims that reading teaches you vital skills of empathy — and that Dr. Seuss taught him that lesson particularly well. In this video recently released by the White House, Obama tells the listening interns that the Star-Belly Sneetches showed him "we're all the same, so why would we treat somebody differently?" And as if that wasn't a brilliant enough analogy, he then goes on to muse about the nature of responsibility that he learned from Horton Hatches the Egg.
In books, Obama says, you will find all the "homespun basic virtues" that turn out to be totally true when you grow up. Check out his adorable wisdom here:

That was like ... 5 years ago! Everything is different now! Those people in 2016 — they knew nothing about anything. People are woke now. We know what’s what, unlike anyone who ever lived at any time in the past.

Seuss is no to be cancelled because he is too dangerous to allowing people to see the truth about the liberal fascist running our country.

Yep, that was years ago. The goal posts have moved. Now Dr. Seuss needs to be banned. Who would have ever guessed it would come to that?
So does that mean no Dr. Seuss books at Drag Queen Story Hour?

Obama’s reputation and just plain greatness are expanding faster than the rate of the expanding universe. He may be larger than the Milky Way soon and need new frontiers.

I looked up those banned books. Nothing bad in them at all, zero zip nada. In a few years there will be libraries with exhibits saying Books Banned in Boston... and it will be Dr S books....

Note: Fidel Speaks was published in 1969 by Grove Press. I read it for opposition intel. One image: he remembered being forced to kneel on tiny stones put on the floor and years later still had scars from them.
