I’m in a bit of a funk. So many things going on....house going up for sale, mobile home to plunk on the farm, purchase of the lake property heading south.....too many people telling us things that turned out NOT to be the case. County restrictions on putting a mobile on YOUR OWN DAMNED PROPERTY!
We wanted to have a nice mobile on the farm, then a nice little bungalow on the lake property. Well, we were told by the realtor last year that the company selling the lake properties didn’t really want to go after top dollar from the few people who had been leasing the land for the last 25 years. We would get first crack at these pieces of land (the cottage is now a tear-down). Well, I was informed this morning that this was no longer the case. The listings will go to market, they’ll take bids, and IF we put in one of the highest bids, we’ll get preference over the other highest bids. Big deal. When these listings get to the Toronto market, who knows what they’ll sell for.
Add to that, the county has to approve a mobile home on the farm (you’d think they had to buy the thing), so I don’t know whether to jump through their hoops and pay their fees, or just take a chance, park it, move in and hope they don’t discover it. And if they do, then I’d throw myself on the mercy of the tyrants. Making it more complicated, I already ordered the new home - it’s due to arrive in August. Maybe. Because covid. So I could wind up homeless lol.
