Is there any way that we can post the real title of an item, then the TRUE title of the item, instead of supporting the leftist lies inherent in the headlines?

You can get away with adding editorial comments to the title if you put them in parentheses and aren’t too obnoxious about it.

No. You can’t. But there is an exception to this rule.

As you know Free Republic does not allow changes to a title. That is a violation of copyright laws.

But you can always add a brief edit/comment as long as it in in parenthesis or bold letters or in some way making it clear that you are commenting on the absurdity of the title.

Until we get a Free Republic change (to the title block section), best way to do this this is to:
Enter the current (Mainstream News) headline,
THEN add a ( and put the Barf Alert, Real Title, or Interpreted Title inside the parenthesis )

I would keep the actual title in the 'title' box, and maybe put your interpretation of the title in the 'body of comment' box.

Mods frown upon altered titles, for search reasons.

If you change the title other posters won’t be able to find the article and we’ll get even more multiple postings of the same article than we already do.

I don’t think changing the title of an article is a good idea because it would make searching for a specific article difficult.

How would you be able search to see if an article has already been posted if the original title has been changed?

I would be glad if people made any comments at all to their posts.

At the risk of joining the Humble Gunner fan club, we have far too many posts linking to individual's blogs rather than the original source with absolutely nothing added. Those times I do post an article I usually have quite a bit to say about it, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered posting it.
