Are you in the Miami area?
No, Ft. Walton Beach, panhandle...............
Yahoo not that long ago created security barriers that require obtaining special passwords for accessing yahoomail from anything other than a Yahoo application.
Suggest you go to yahoo.com, go to mail, and search “mail settings for Windows 10”. You will find instructions on specific settings for SSL/TLS, etc. and ports, but also how-to for getting their special double super secure password. It will say it is for one time use, but that is misleading. You don’t have to get a new one every time you access your mail. Just store it in your account settings for yahoo in your system, and you’re good to go.
With Firefox browser, one is able to clear the cache and cookies for specific domains and web sites.
From the top menu, select Edit -Prefernces - Privacy & Security.
Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data.
There is a search window, where you would type in yahoo.
Then you will see all the yahoo web sites for which your web browser has cookies and cached date and can remove them.
Easy Peasy.
I think I spoke too soon.
It stopped working so I cleared out what I cleared out before and it still didn’t work. WTF!

Express VPN seems to be a good option, too. I had a couple incidents, however, where the servers couldn’t be reached, but rebooting my machine fixed it.
40 years in IT and I finally got 1 right:-)
Oops I spoke too soon:-(
Try resetting your wifi router. There will be hole you stick a pin or paper clip into. On internet Look up where the reset hole is. Maybe some use a button these days.
Also try connecting laptop via ethernet cable instead of wifi
Go to Start > type “cmd” and open the command prompt
in the command prompt, type:
notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
This should open your local hosts file. This file can be used to redirect addresses to IPs. This will even override DNS. It SHOULD be empty. There should be nothing below these lines:
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
If there are any items under this, either delete them or, the safer option, is to put a # before the line to comment it out.
Also check your DNS settings for your local machine. You may be on the same wifi network, but you can have two completely different DNS configurations between the two systems.
When asking computer tech questions you need to provide more info and detail and respond to those trying to help you. When did this issue begin? Just how does Yahoo not work? Have you checked your security settings? (in Firefox paste in the address bar: about:preferences#privacy ). Have you cleared your cache and cookies Have you rebooted?
you said it happens with other browsers too- so it likely isn’t cache problem
have you tried it in safe mode yet? You can get into safe mode with networking if you follow the advice here i beleive:
https://www.digitalcitizen.life/boot-safe-mode-networking-windows-10/
Login to your email service online and check if you are using POP or IMAP. Your email program needs to be the same.

Sorry for saying you need to respond to those trying to help you for you did make a about 4 direct responses on that, but you ignored others without telling us if the problem was solved, or expressing any thanks for attempts, leaving those who want to help to continue to make suggestions while also do not providing much at all in way of details including steps you already took. I understand computer problems can be frustrating, but doing more of what I said helps us to help you.
BS. You're not sorry, you pompous @$$#0!e.
You obviously didn't read my original post, or English isn't your mother tongue. In either case, you are an embarrassment to FR, and should to look elsewhere to post your drivel.

Which response is even worse, and unwarranted. I did read your OP, and well understand English, and which is why wrote some things that should be included. That you are using two laptops, one from HP and another a Dell, both running W/10 and connected via Wifi to a modem close by, but you usually cannot access Yahoo email in contrast to other sites, does not provide other pertinent info such as I and others asked or suggested, and only some of which you responded to.
At least let us know what the solution comes out to be. Barking at those trying to help is not going to be any help. Thanks. Grace and peace thru Jesus the Lord.
Good reply.. I guess we are not gonna know if anything helped or not.
A couple of quick tests if you’re still having problems.
Assuming that this is webmail using a browser, can you try another browser? Do you get the same results? Do you see older mails in your inbox or is it empty? Are you receiving any messages (either Windows or Yahoo)? Is it possible that you coincidentally have reached your limit for emails?
When you open the link to your mail do you get a prompt to log in or does it just load the page (cached credentials)?
If cached, open the page and then look for the “Log Out” button. Then try logging in again.
You might also try creating a fresh Windows profile. This will eliminate cookies or random settings stuff as culprits.
Good luck!
