Was chatting with my sister. A friend of hers was crying in church after services. Turns out her friend's son was seriously injured in a weight-lifting accident.
My sister sat next to her, and hugged and prayed with her for her son.
Some church goers passed by and expressed displeasure at my sister's "violation" of social distancing.
My sister said she felt bad, and wondered whether what she did was right. I told her those people were idiots, and said it's as if we are no longer permitted to express compassion.
Sorry, had to rant.
Tell your sister that she has no need to feel bad because some people consider virtue signalling to be better than compassion to others.

Christ healed lepers and consoled those in need. Tell your sister that people as diverse as hippies and Jesus are on her side. Everyone else needs to check their pride.

I’m sorry that your sister’s church family is so shallow and unfeeling. There is no question in my mind that she did nothing wrong in choosing to comfort a friend.
She has a kind and loving heart. I’d say The Lord approves.

I feel that social distancing is a way to keep people from talking and expressing their feelings. The left does not want free expression so they love the panic.

They love the world. We are warned against that. Your number one goal shouldn’t be to live the longest.
It is easy to fall into the trap of having the world define what is good and go along. It feels like what you are doing is right. Remember those who crucified Christ thought they were doing good.

This has been a big issue since day one of the dempanic on March 12, 2020. The formal public roll out of the term “practice social distancing” will be studied in business and communication schools for decades.
