Heinz has launched an amorous take on one of its most iconic pasta varieties, Alphabetti, to help pasta-loving romantics propose to their partners in style this February 14.
Inspired by an amazing real-life love story the special cans will only feature the pasta letters M, A, R, Y, E, in a tomato sauce.
Mimi Williams, Brand Manager for Heinz Pasta said: “We were contacted by Alphabetti-loving Karen, back in 2019. She told us that her partner had recently proposed using our much-loved pasta letters to spell out ‘will you marry me’ on a piece of toast. We just loved the idea and immediately got to work on creating this limited-edition ‘Marry Me’ edition’ of Heinz Alphabetti, just in time for ValenHeinz Day!
"This is a true one-off and there are only a limited number of cans for sale on Ocado, for a limited time only. So, if you have a special Alphabetti admirer in your life, and are thinking about proposing, then we’d encourage you to get online as soon as they land on February 1.
"We can’t wait to read your stories about your Heinz Alphabetti engagement. Please tag us on social media and don’t forget to use the hashtag #alphabettiproposal”
Karen and Diarmuid were the happy couple that inspired the romantic Heinz innovation.

But, people get married at Taco Bell, so...
Bonus for Amy and Mary’s
Yea, if I was a female and some guy bought me a can of spaghetti in lieu of a proposal . . . my heart would certainly melt. And I would surely hope that the judge would find my next actions as justified under the situation.
John Heinz-Kerry approved........................
Like Jim Morrison said...”people are strange”
I’ll reply with a can of Spaghetti-NOs.
Very witty :)
You can still find tins of spaghetti out there ?
Perfect for writing manifestos.
Need the Animal House Deathmobile pic! :) Nah, we all know what it says already...
People have different expectations. I remember hearing about a couple getting married at WalMart. She was pregnant, and they both worked there. This was in the news on the radio. Dude said “I’m happy I could make her dream of getting married at WalMart come true.” The couple was registered at WalMart, of course.
But then again, the Welsh have a strange attraction to their vegetables. Such as wearing leeks on their heads.

Common explaination is that it all begin long ago among the Welsh warriors with a misunderstanding.
Just as Welsh warriors at rest were told "Smoke 'em if you got'em" before resuming the march, sgts. told troops, "Right then, all you lazy Taffys take a leek before we step out."

:)
I know. Girl would still slap me.
LOL!!!
