National Guard troops stationed at the Capitol famously have had to nap on the building’s marble floors, but that’s not the worst thing about their working conditions. The food is. The reason: The National Guard Bureau hired a food contractor to feed the troops, but the contractor simply messed up.
Here’s a picture of today’s “breakfast” as passed along to me.
Some of the troops didn’t get this filling breakfast of an apple (at least it looks like a good apple!) and a gross chocolate chocolate-chip muffin in a brown bag until after 10 a.m.
Here’s another meal, supposed to get a soldier through the day until dinner.

They should all be called back home by their governors. They are just a captive audience for leftists to practice and refine their abuse.

Yeah, that’s the ticket. The food contractor simply messed up. It was an honest mistake. No cutting corners (or anything like that) to keep more money for himself.
Communist regimes generally do not treat their military very good and I would imagine it’s only going to get worse for them
Trust me, typical National Guard meal.
I doubt the contractor screwed up. More like they decided to make a killing on every meal and supply the least amount possible for the maximum price.
How much do you want to bet that the contractor was a big donor to a powerful democRAT.
Short rations, unsuitable accommodations, rifles and lots of ammo.

I reckon the swamp at the capitol wants another visit.
They’re nothing more than extras in a massive TV production. By that measure they’re actually being paid quite well.
Where’s the protein?
I would send teams to a few of local parks and harvest a few deer. The other option would be commandeering the capitol cafeteria.
Too late. Last time I was in a park in Washington DC, it looked like someone had already eaten all the deer.
Surprised they weren’t serving soy milk.

they’d have to travel to VA or MD (30+ miles) to start finding any wildlife
better to have units send their cooks to grab food from sams club and come back to cook it.

Why are all the politicians ok with this?
The politicians are mostly narcissists. They would only be upset if they got served those meals.
That meal is shoddy.
Many people here were calling the NG troops fat, so maybe an apple for lunch isn’t a bad thing.
Or it was Hunter's Food Service! Compliment of the Big Guy!
