After decades of reporting Non-employee income on form 1099-MISC we can't do that anymore. Likewise, after years and years of downloading the form and printing it we can't do that anymore either. And more likewise, after decades of getting the forms from the post office that is not available anymore either apparently. I have not checked this since I don't go to town much.

Why, after all these years is a new form necessary? Don't we have enough forms already?

To whom do we appeal with any hope of attention, action or resolution or even explanation.

I'm mad to begin with, angrier about taxes in general and even angrier about this brand of insane foolishness.

I’m dealing with the same. And some of my payments are still covered by 1099-MISC, so I need both forms.

Please note that Copy B and other copies of this form, which appear in black, may be downloaded and printed and used to satisfy the requirement to provide the information to the recipient.

First impression is that they are trying to make it easier for people to "overlook incidental income or just not bother with it." Select classes of citizens can thereby be identified as criminal. It is just more of using the IRS to harass conservative organizations.

Looks the same as 1099 Misc I filled out for years and years except for the name.

I remember sitting in tax school. Major changes in calculating depreciation but no new legislation. The old school teacher said this was the actions of an incompetent bureaucrat trying to look important.

I asked, in from the the whole group, WHAT IS HIS NAME. Didn’t get an answer
