Waiting for a response from the biden administration. No word yet from his china first advisor
I make kimchi by the gallon at home. I had korean friends when I was a kid who always had warm rice and kimchi in the kitchen. It is an acquired taste, but now it’s like crack to me
Big nothing kimchi
Me, too. And I don’t care who first created it; it will always be Korean to me.
A little and rice and a Kimchi cures Everything from hangovers to Coronavirus! Good for gut health!
When I first started to eat natto, I referred to it as Japanese, and a Korean gentleman I knew said it was Korean.
People who don't eat kim chi and natto are missing out.
Me too. Actually not too hard. I like adding a little smoked sesame oil.
I love Kimchi, but can’t deal with natto.
Husband likes shirataki; but I’m not a fan of that either.
there are two different pickled vegetables, one is kimchi, the other is Pao cai, you can’t really confuse the two. there are better things to argue about.
ex. china is a sh!thole country, vs Taiwan is a paradise.
I would eat kimchi more often as I have a very authentic source who makes wonderful kimchi in proper korean onggi pottery, however I have a motto - Eat Something Different Every Day. Admittedly, breakfasts seldom differ.
Nothing re kimchi, but today I tried to buy
chicken-flavored Maruchan Ramen noodles, and there were NONE available at Wal-Mart. The only chicken-flavored Ramen noodles they had were a new brand I’ve never seen before, made in the PRC!!
Really interesting that ONE DAY after Biden takes office, an American brand of Ramen is INSTANTLY replaced by one from China, called Panda.
:(!
I like it.
But I don’t think I’ve ever had the authentic Korean stuff. Just the stuff at Asian buffets or from the grocery store.
Thankfully here in DFW we have some Korean stores to get real Kimchi, they even have it without MSG.
I’ll have to see what’s going on in my supermarket - I’m not a connoisseur of ramen and don’t know the brands. But I think it’s unlikely that stock and supply lines could have been changed so quickly.
It’s more likely that people have stocked-up on food lately, fearing...something; and probably bought-out your favorite.
(I know some people here in the DC area stocked up - even Chris Plante on his radio show a while back said that he and his wife were stocking up in anticipation of the ‘installation’.)
Use head cabbage and make redneck kimchi.
A little 김치, some 김밥, some 불고기, a 맥주 or two and call it good.
Actually, there was never a “run” on Ramen here, as there was with T.P. and P.T.
That’s what bothers me!
