As a leftist revolutionary party assumes power, an Iron Curtain descends across the nation's capital--complete with razor wire, checkpoints and thousands of heavily armed troops with orders to shoot to kill.
I think I've seen this movie before.
All this vetting of politically reliable troops will enable the subsequent vetting of troops when they return to their respective states - the rest will be purged, frozen in rank, or dismissed for one reason or another - no matter how far fetched

I disagree. They don’t trust Trump and they don’t actually know us. Yes, I agree it’s a show of force and a warning but they also believe we’re a bunch of crazy, armed rubes. If they’re so smart they would have seen 2016 coming and they misjudged voters and misjudged badly.
And Joe Biden has the perfect excuse for having a tiny turnout for his inauguration. The manipulated narrative begins.
Funny/sad because the actual number of people who will be allowed to attend is 200 socially distanced people from what I just heard on the radio. So basically it will look like one of his campaign "rallies", bit with a bit more banana republic dictator flavor.
I’m still betting they’ll have half the troops wear street clothes and order them to cheer. Of course since a lot of the Nat Guard come from leftist states, they might not have to order them
