With all due respect to the Robinsons, can we please get a clear and final answer regarding twitter linked videos and stories? I have tried to post same earlier and my post was deleted while others post and their stories remain up on the site.
In particular I was trying to link to a video that Jack Posobiec psoted on twitter. Jack is a Christian, Veteran Navy intel officer, and China analyst.
Post seem to be up to the whim of the moderator as compared to a stated policy that is equally applied.
I really do not care what the answer is, but I would appreciate clarity so that everybody knows exactly what the rules are. This is your site and you set the rules but clarifying the rules would be useful

Twitter comments shouldn’t be under Breaking News. ...if it’s breaking then their are other sources to check before posting twitter as a source....and better that it be confirmed.
Right. All twitter accounts don’t count.Except we used to link to Trump’s twitter account. So what you are really suggesting is that nobody else’s twitter account counts. OK, if that is how you want to see things, you have that right.
Some are addicted to twitter and frankly believe it’s where they need to get their news.....which it isn’t a good source at all. Pres. Trump was the exception as we all knew that was his means of communicating what he wanted us to know

I started at FR in 1997 I still do not know the rules. Again, I am guest so it is incumbent upon me to learn the rules, I just wish they were posted somewhere. This is not a reflection on the Robinson family, Jim and John are awesome! This is more directed at the arbitrariness of the admin moderators.
That’s what it’s beginning to do with Twitter postings.......
If you take a current event....like an earthquake or natural disaster event....Twitter can be helpful as people post what’s going on at the time often with photos to substantiate. Otherwise it’s not a good information source.
No, you miss my point. It's the medium, not the person or their message.
Twitter is a festering cesspool and getting worse by the day. No matter who writes something, no matter how wonderful or revelatory or important it is, if they write it using poo-logs floating in a cesspool, we shouldn't link to it here.
If someone has an important message to convey, they have numerous other less repugnant ways to get that message published, and we can link to those here. There is no reason or justification to use Twitter-borne messages.
How the heck are we ever going to cut loose from this crap if people keep using it just because other people are using it? We should be striving to find and use something better, and demonstrate that folks should leave Twitter behind in the trash-heap..
I believe that the only reason President Trump used Twitter was because it gave him an end-run around the WH and MSM filters. Fine, and that started out as a great idea. It was worth putting up with the 99% of Twitter that is total crap, just to be able to hear the President's words direct.
Unfortunately it was dependent on Leftists, and they eventually shut him down. No one should be shocked or surprised by that, it's what Leftists do.
So we should take a lesson from that and avoid Twitter.
