A Grand Crossing man stole a towing company’s truck and then called 911 himself because he was upset that the truck’s driver dared to pull a gun on him, prosecutors said.
Elliott Scott, 22, is charged with aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle, misdemeanor theft, and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
“Mr. Scott called 911?” a befuddled Judge Charles Beach asked prosecutors after hearing their allegations.
“Yeah,” Scott interjected. “Right.”
Scott’s defense attorney quickly advised him, “it’s not best to talk about the charges” in court.

They didn’t name him LaElliot?
I almost agree with this: the guy is just about too stupid to be a threat to public safety.
Another criminal mastermind foiled. Fine police work.
Obviously a product of American public education.
Another Chicago crook — aspiring brain surgeon, no doubt — left his cellphone behind in the place he was robbing. Chicago is experiencing a huge rise in crime, carjackings and daylight public robberies in particular. And the catalytic converter thieving crews have begun shooting anyone who witnesses their activities, while salvage and recycling yards continue to buy their obviously stolen goods.
“Obviously a product of American public education.”
Chicago public education.
One can just imagine Hank Voight of Chicago PD staring at this perp in amazement . . .
No, there isn’t. It’s all gang bullsh!t around here, and Chicago has no white gangs.

We average four carjackings a day in the city now. Kids and women are stealing cars with weapons, so it’s no surprise that a tow truck driver had a gun; it’s a trope for a reason.
Mama misspelled Mr. Scott’s first name. She meant to spell ‘Idiot’, but instead, spelled it ‘Elliot’. Now, he’ll forever be known by his correctly spelled name, Idiot.
I hear Drumbeats...
