Is Erick Erickson a tool of the left?
My Own | January 12, 2021 | John Leland 1789

Posted on 01/12/2021 7:56:40 AM PST by John Leland 1789

Very simple here for this morning. I have in my Internet Radio preset radio frequencies WMAC, 970 AM, Macon, Georgia. I have kept that preset for years and have used it as a source for conservative talk and commentary. We have very many Christian conservative friends in that region.

Of late, Erick Erickson has been the morning host (9 to 12 Eastern). And today I am writing him, not in my Free Republic screen name, but in my own name to ask him, "Mr. Erickson, are you, in actuality, a tool of the left, or worse?"

My impression of this morning's (21/01/12) program is that he is attempting to disparage and discourage true traditional Americans who really have not changed from our youth, having grown up conservative, self-reliant, having a work ethic, having a repugnance for the inordinate dependence upon government prevalent today, having our children within the bounds of marriage, believing in national sovereignty with strong national borders, flag-waving patriotic Americans.

My impression is that Mr. Erickson wants to see traditional Christian Americans remain in the shadows, timid, weak, remain within the four walls of our church houses, and keep the decibel level of our worship down, too.

My impression of Erickson from his monologue this morning is that any strong public cry from us against socialism and communism in the United States is to be equated with a very dangerous extremism and coupled with mere theories of a lying conspiratorialism.

My impression is that Mr. Erickson has been reading FBI reports and the scorn of conservatives in the leftist news media --- and it is leftist ---, and I even wonder whether he is under direct influence of authorities using him in an attempt to quell strong protesting on the right.

After only ten minutes of listening to Erickson, I felt as if he had tried to impugn, vilify, and soil me and my family. We spent more than two decades inside two communist countries working with underground Christian ministries. We have seen Marxism-Leninism up close and personal over a long period of time. And we also know that conspiracies are not merely theories; that communists have conspiracies against the United States, and American citizens by the thousands are directly involved in them.

"Conspiracy" is recognized in the American system of jurisprudence, and courts deal with conspiracies every day. The very idea of calling people who recognize the existence of conspiracies in the political realm "extremists," is absurd. And Mr. Erickson, claiming to be a Christian, should recognize the correlation with conspiracy in the spiritual realm.

We are not at all ashamed to be anti-communist to the core. After serving in the occupation of Japan, my own dad served in combat on the Korean Peninsula. Only 23 years later, I myself walked guard on an an airbase in Korea for thirteen months. Why? Because of a real conspiracy hatched no later than 1917, the Communist Universalle --- the struggle for world communism.

I am writing to Mr. Erickson today to ask him whether he is a tool of the left, and if this might not be the case with many talk show hosts who, like himself, are claiming to be conservatives.

Cumulus Media Enacts Zero Tolerance Policy, Threatens to Censor Conservative Voices
The company is enforcing a zero tolerance policy against “election disinformation.”

By: Travis

Get ready.

Big tech and the media are already making their move.

We’ve just learned that one talk radio company is already telling Conservative talk show hosts what they can and can’t say.

Trending: President Trump Officially Declares State of Emergency In D.C. Through January 24, 2021

Cumulus Media, who work with conservative figures like Mark Levin and Dan Bongino, just issued a warning to its hosts.

They will enforce a zero tolerance policy against “dog-whistle talk” and “election disinformation.”

This leaves us all to wonder who decides what that constitutes…

All the NeverTrumps are. Jonah Golderg is on Twitter cheering on impeachment and trial of Trump AFTER he leaves office. They are truly deranged.

The rats are scurrying into the light.

Liberal Democrat Ed Morrissey Announces That He's No Longer a Republican

I imagine there will be a lot of these pieces from the very people I've been telling you were actually Democrats but had chosen to conceal that to keep their worthless jobs.

Now that they can point to Wednesday's unpleasantness as a justification for joining the left, they will.

Morrissey says he's not a Republican now.

If he were an honest man, he'd admit he has not been a Republican, except nominally, for purposes of keeping his droning-gasbag job, since 2015.

I'll write more about this later.

But I'd like to see what commenters think.

I've told everyone the 100% truth about these people. I understand their (liberal, corporate, Get Along Gang) psychology completely.

It's a very simple psychology. They're sheep of a liberal stripe.

I've been saying it for four or five years.

I listened to Neil Boortz for years on WSB radio. At first I was excited when Erik Eriksen started on WSB. But then as I listened to him, I began to realize that he was not what I had hoped. Then when he started bashing Trump, I turned off WSB. Radio in Atlanta is dead.

Honestly, I no longer watch or listen to any news media or television. If bad weather comes (which they love to hype up in Atlanta to get everyone scared!), then I will deal with it.

With all of the turmoil in this election, and all of the Republicans not fighting, giving up so fast, it makes you wonder if there isn’t something else going on that we aren’t aware of yet. Something is up, I just can’t figure out what.

Quite right. Although on his radio show he piously pretends otherwise. While our government is being overthrown by an anti-Constitution crowd via an obviously corrupt election, he advises in essence, "Don't worry about it, God is in control."

As Hostage points out, it has been obvious that starting in 2016 EE has continued to this day to be anti-Trump, far after the election.

What we do know is that Biden is simply a placeholder for K. Harris who, it appears, is a leftist married to one who has commercial ties to the CCP. Harris endorsed the recent bomb-throwers and in essence said 'we" must join them.

We have seen that Biden's campaign was shot through with leftists and he has formed an administration composed of Obama leftovers, all of whom are leftists or leftist sympathizers.

Knowing that today and yet remaining anti-Trump strongly suggest he is more than an bona fide American voter, but more closely related to an anti-American philosophy.

Erickson is a notorious NeverTrumper and is batshit insane. During the “riots,” he called for MAGA people to be shot by riot police. He is a despicable pile of worthless shit.

I used to listen to Erickson a lot in his early days, but over time it became clear that he’s similar to someone like Michael Medved, namely someone who is just too weak to be looked to as a leader in these troubled times. The end result of thier strategy is that we lose...slowly perhaps but surely.

I’ve listened to him a few times.

Seems to me he’s buddy, buddy with Kemp. He knows Stacey Abrams. Wouldn’t be surprised that he’s in on the conspiracy to stop President Trump in Georgia.

He pretends he’s a Godly man, man of faith. He’s an imposter, a fake. If he recommends someone for Supreme Court, be very wary of that choice.

Yes! Thank You Jesus... for this post!

I can’t tell you how many times I have started to call his show or send an email only to sense the futility of trying to reach someone so embedded in himself. I resign myself to listening for 2 or 3 minutes hoping to hear something rational before turning the show off.

I’ve listened to Rush Limbaugh for 23 years and never felt the disgust that Erik can engender in 1 minute.

His evident and appalling lack of show prep is glossed over by his pontifications on politics and every other subject know to man, buttressed by all of his “friends” on the left (whom I’m sure consider him a useful idiot). It seems that he just pulls himself up to the microphone and echo what his “good friends” at CNN, MSNBC, et. al. have spewed out lately.

He either does not know his audience or does not care about his audience.

He lives in a bubble of his own making. Someday, it will pop!

Good info. I can be sucked in by those that profess Christian values, obviously that makes it easy to deceive and manipulate.

Well he is NO Congressman Larry McDonald, that’s for sure. His tragic (deliberate imho) death with his family on shot down KAL-007 ended a lot of true conservatism in GA.
Erickson— Macon city council, Mercer U (baptist liberals- fake evangelicals)Law School. Born in Louisiana. Raised in Dubai (oil people his dad). sometimes on target, mostly a whiner type of production, and always about- himself.

Here is a non-paywall NYTimes article from 2004 describes the disapora of Macon well, and disgustingly disparaging a once great bastion of industry in the process. All due to their kind of leftist cocaine rocknroller fueled jimmah cahtah envirowhacko politics that drove industry away. And good people suffered, for real.

https://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/17/us/its-main-employer-leaving-macon-tries-to-diversify.html

Erickson, said to be local (God knows how they can claim his other than the city council in 2007). Dude is a wannabe and never will be. He is on as “a local boy” bullcrap whiner, from 9 to 12 noon- and no-one rational conservative listens to his drivel- sorry. Something in his past, can’t recall— him against trump and then he endorsed him— as a lot of never trumpers did and are now trying to keep their “position”.

This half a@@ WMAC (not WMAZ which, went away somehow in the political shift) station. Rush follows Erickson at noon for 3 hours. Then they “had” an hour of Michael Savage, often off his librium, sometimes very much on target though. 1 hour only- now supposedly on podcasts— bet not with the tech weenie cancelling.

Then at 4 to the babbling shotgun mouth Shapiro—lawyer/libertarian/fake inheritor of Mr. Breitbart (who could not stand him, frankly). Who has now moved with the rest of the Medved republicans (in the entertainment diaspora) to Nashville, TN— to continue to whine and re-move the Southern traditions and consveratism hanging on there.

Then around 5:30 pm this weak a@@ WMAC (not the venerable WMAZ which was a 100K WATT blaster for over 30 years all night, and disappeared somehow)-— drops it’s power (FCC)

And cannot be heard beyond 20 miles outside of Macon city limits- except if air quality is clear. Really a nothing station— except for carrying Rush, bless his soul.
