Rumors only at this point. Anyone else hearing similar? If so, it may be very good news.
"The Insurrection Act of 1807 is a United States federal law that empowers the President of the United States to deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops within the United States in particular circumstances, such as to suppress civil disorder, insurrection or rebellion. "You should be ashamed of yourself for thinking this is all a big joke."
I am not making light of the situation, but I'm a logical-thinking adult - I do not think the cavalry is riding in to save the day.
If I am wrong, it won't be the first time - but I normally plan on the worst outcome possible, so I'm rarely disappointed....

Thats what I’m talking about. Hearing all those things that seem too wild to be true. When were shut down to communicate, and the media lies, what are we supposed to believe?
Bet Nancy will be in Congress tommorow pushing Amendment 25

No it's not martial law. The Insurrection Act allows the military to be used for law enforcement, but only if POTUS so chooses. The U.S. Marshals Service could be used to seize evidence, or the militia could be called forth to perform certain tasks. Calling this martial law is overly dramatic. POTUS might suspend habeas corpus, but the Constitution is not suspended. For example, the right to freedom of expression could be restored by this action, not suppressed. So if Trump invokes the Insurrection Act on Monday and the Courts strike it down on Tuesday, then what?

C30J flying low loops over top Kinston Stallings Field airport in North Carolina. Strange. Husband thinks it might be preventing someone from taking off.

Is there any information from the online major Italian newspapers?
The news that I can find is about Obama's buddy, former PM Matteo Renzi, who has been threatening to bring down PM Conte's government if he doesn't give him control of the spy agencies. I can't find much with Google and Bing. They are only discussing issues about Covid relief. I tried using the Russian yandex.com search engine to avoid the filters, but it doesn't search for Italian.

Explain your last sentence in post #158. How would freedom of expression be restored?

I know.......some of the “Secret” stuff is funny.
It’s like, hey if you know, everyone knows! You aren’t that special.....LOL
There are some odd things happening today, I have to admit.
Im watching the Left closely.......if they start freaking out and acting weird perhaps things are getting hot.

Ask me on Tuesday if that happens...The Dems may well run to Judge Sullivan in DC. Trump's SCOTUS appointees have all be strong proponents of executive power, so he should prevail there. If CJ Roberts is the first guy on the plane to Gitmo, then it won't matter.

“Isn’t the Insurrection act AKA the Riot act?”
No. My mother read me the Riot Act many times and it has more to do with mowing the yard, taking out the trash, etc. LOL
Really though I hope this is true. It’s hard to confirm anything lately.

Perhaps conservatives online would be able to express themselves without censorship by Big Tech.
