2022 Mike Lee Retiring?

Posted on 01/07/2021 6:27:28 AM PST by DIRTYSECRET

Saw it in Wikipedia under 2022 US Senate elections. Could be a misprint but it would please me if true. He's too disappointing. Young enough to be reelected indefinitely or be a a long term SCOTUS appointment. Sadly he's a mittens-in-the-making. It would open the door for those who have outlived their usefulness. Think Hoeven, Moran, Thune. These are the 'younger' ones who just might think they'll quit on THEIR OWN time table. Now's the time.

The Republic has ended. His job is done.

Good riddance Mike Lee. Going to join the K Lobby crowd for visas, I am sure

Be prepared to primary him just in case.

His throwing American workers under the bus in favor of foreign H1B workers has earned him a spot on the short list of primary targets.

I think quite a few will leave rather than face a primary defeat.

Good. I am for a complete house cleaning of the GOP. If you can’t get the job done in the work world you get fired for being ineffective. The entire Republican party is ineffective because no one got the job done. No one did anything other than talk. No action. My most basic right to have a fair and fraud-free election is gone and they did nothing. Pretty simple to understand.

I think in the Utah case...someone needs to find two retired sports individuals (conservatives of course) who reside in Utah, and get them some start-up help to primary in 2022 and later against Romney in 2024.

I think quite a few will leave rather than face a primary defeat.

Once the Uniparty proved in 2020 that they could rig an election and get away with it, there's no reason for them to keep any of these politicians around, especially the ones who asked for high value bribes. They can all be replaced by low budget actors and actresses who'll accept bribes of far less value.

On the flip side, once they're in and agree to ask for far less in illegal payoffs than their predecessor, they're likely to stick around forever. There are a lot of campaigns throughout the country where candidates continually run unopposed. Term limits are the only thing that make it less obvious.

When the GOP forces pols like this to resign, the way so many people who criticized BLM were fired, that’s when we know it has the stomach for the long fight ahead.

The OLD ones in RED states should QUIT NOW. Think Shelby, Grassley, Crapo, Fischer, Wicker, Barasso. Appointed ones can have 2 years to establish incumbency. The not-so-young ones in competitive states can stay: Blunt, Boozman (save money).

Good riddance if true. He keeps trying to import foreign labor to displace American jobs and needs to be replaced.

You need people with established names. You need people who can talk in a crowd. Living in Utah...the odds are heavily in favor of clean lifestyle, no issues.

There has to be a couple of retired NBA or MLB people...in their 50s to 60s...geared for a job like this.

Above all...you need what I’d call the anti-Romney....the anti-intellectual.
