Please explain what the conservative principles you say are being abandoned are.
Walmart should be renamed Cheap **** From China.
I just don’t like the thought that printing money out of thin air is a good general policy. If that were true, Weimar Germany would have been an economic superpower. Or Zimbabwe.
Many of the anti-abortion people are probably also proponents of this check. They couldn't care less about other incidental issues. That means if Trump proclaimed himself Caudillo/Lord Protector and followed in Franco's/Cromwell's footsteps, that faction might actually cheer him on.

Remind me to never ask you for a compliment.
Isn’t there a place on a tax form where you can contribute to paying down the debt?
put your money towards that if you want.
An explanation and a plan.
Are you still drunk from Christmas? :)
2.3 trillion being thrown away and you’re worried about 150 billion.
geez

I didn’t mean to diminish that. I was thinking that if we are at the point in our republic’s history where elections are blatantly stolen and our political “elites” don’t even bother to act like they have the consent of the people, printing tons of money doesn’t seem as reckless as it used to.
I gotcha. I appreciate the point, as well as the little history lesson as I’m not too proud to say I had to google what you were referencing.
I was attempting a little humor with my reply. Now excuse me while I look up ‘ Gracchi’.
Oh well that was kind of you.
I want my COVID reparations! Two grand is just a down payment! Gibmedats face diaper money! [/SARC] Seriously, they ought to make April 15th go away next year for all the shit they’ve put us through.
So,did they strip out all that pork.I’m guessing a big fat NO😒
Senate won’t pass it, because it doesn’t send money to Pakistan or Lockheed Martin, or Kentucky horse breeders.
It WILL be limited...but only if we win in Georgia.
If Mitch the fake "fiscal conservatives" defeat this, it will make it far more likely Asshoff and Wife-beater Warlock will win in GA. And then it will be $2,000 a WEEK....for 4 years!
Can't do it. Automatic losses in GA, and then Socialism unleashed.
Give me your $2000 check if you oppose it and don’t want it.
I Could really use it.
Already a given. They cheat and get away with it. They will count the early in person and Election day in person votes and then know how many to manufacture.
Again.
You're a math major! ;-)
Actually, the amount doesn't matter as it's all created out of thin air. A full half of all the money the Federal government is spending this year and next is being borrowed. A whole bunch of the that borrowing is picked up by the Federal Reserve who "monetizes" that debt by simply going POOF! and deeming that the money exists by putting in on their "balance sheet". All that freshly created money makes the existing zeroes and ones that currently exist in bank accounts, printed pieces of paper called "federal Reserve Notes" and suchlike are now competing against the new money for the same goods in the economy, devaluing that existing money. i.e. inflation the hidden tax that keeps the hamsters on the hamster wheel of the work world.
So yeah, we should all be billionaires of weimar dollars. It's just inserting some zeroes in front of the decimal point and at some time that decimal point is going to be moved the other way.
These are American stores and the clerks are my town people. It’s their livelyhood. Selling imported goods isn’t exactly a new concept.
They aren’t American stores, they are global corporations with no loyalty to you, your town, or their employees. Selling imported goods is not a new concept, but it used to be a the realm of a rare fancy boutique. Now it is not only the cheap clothes, electronics, car parts, but unexpected items like shrimp, garlic, and apple juice that are shipped in from China. 60% of the apple juice sold in the US from China.
