It was a matter-of-fact observation, not about abortion per se, but using the abortion vote as an example. I could have picked national security, law and order, or any number of other Trump coalition interests. I picked abortion at random probably because it began with the letter “a” and had the fewest syllables. It wasn’t a criticism in the sense that there are people who have said, in not so many words, that a Gracchi moment has been reached, and a crack-up of the old order is imminent.

Actually, the amount doesn't matter as it's all created out of thin air. A full half of all the money the Federal government is spending this year and next is being borrowed. A whole bunch of the that borrowing is picked up by the Federal Reserve who "monetizes" that debt by simply going POOF! and deeming that the money exists by putting in on their "balance sheet". All that freshly created money makes the existing zeroes and ones that currently exist in bank accounts, printed pieces of paper called "federal Reserve Notes" and suchlike are now competing against the new money for the same goods in the economy, devaluing that existing money. i.e. inflation the hidden tax that keeps the hamsters on the hamster wheel of the work world.

So yeah, we should all be billionaires of weimar dollars. It's just inserting some zeroes in front of the decimal point and at some time that decimal point is going to be moved the other way.
