In a no-holds-barred blog post, Gates wrote that there were times when he wanted to dwelve deeper into social issues like Black Lives Matter protests which took the centerstage this year but there were days when he needed a 'change of pace' and read something lighter.

Happy reading!

That Ben MacIntyre book, The Spy and the Traitor, is a page-turner. So are any of Erik Larson’s books. But I wouldn’t read anything else on that list.
Amen!
I just looked up that book. I assumed it was a cynical novel about the drug culture. Actually far from it. Seems like a good, classic American novel which ought to be more widely known. Thanks.
". . . he wanted to dwelve deeper into social issues . . .""Dwelve" is not a word in the English language. Maybe it is something Santa's helpers do. < /s >
A distraction from the Great Reset, no doubt.
(With apologies to Ben Siegel)
The Splendid and the Vile was a good book, and I’m a Churchill fan.
I will not be reading The New Jim Crow.
Right to the point.
Good post.
Gas log... Clearly, Gates was not in California at the time.
But wait !! There is more !!!!

The platinum title book by Bill is..
Little Billy gets a Tiny prick. -—. A small hacker boy who stole code from his employees but made good with the world by taking the first Nanobot laced Covid vaccine his company wants us all to get !!! Fantastic value.
All for 100 easy shots a month @ a price we don’t care you cannot afford but are booked for life.
Remember, Unka Billy suggestions and products are always up to date and stable... Till next week.

Thanks for repeating your story as I know I can’t keep up with all the FR postings.
These leftists have been practicing systemic racism behind the curtain for years. What is more troubling is that they have been able to institutionalize it throughout all our institutions. Many Supreme Court decisions prohibiting the practices of racism at any level are all but ignored by, or now permitted by the court itself.
You sure it's not 95 easy shots?

Bring epi pens for your blue screen moment.
Sorry, bad. Could not resist.
Better yet,
read five books recommended by George Soros.
Yeah. Fake gas fire like him. Is that reptilian wall paper behind him?
We must be related :-))
Lol
I had to read The New Jim Crow for a church class...lying with statistics and fully of false premises...all 1619 kind of stuff...and blacks are only in prison because of drugs...and carelessness is only due to unfair prison sentences...no mention of black on black crime or 1960s LBJ welfare laws...nope. this book is a permission slip for blacks to hate whites...and the book pushes the myth of the great party switch.
I recently wrote a book dedicated to Gates. It is titled, “GFY.”
The computer nerd thinks because he struck it rich in the early computer uptick, that he is a sage on other topics.
He is not. He is just another rich nerd.
I cannot tell you how good the book was. A novel that looks directly at life, limitations, courage, cowardice, commitment, disappointment, and ultimately our path alone.
Came at a perfect time in my life as I reflect back upon my life and the choices made.
What’s really interesting about that book list is the publishers. 4 out if the 5 are published by Euroweenie-owned conglomerates.
The 5th, Benbella, I’d never heard of before. But I bet that one has an interesting history.
