In a no-holds-barred blog post, Gates wrote that there were times when he wanted to dwelve deeper into social issues like Black Lives Matter protests which took the centerstage this year but there were days when he needed a 'change of pace' and read something lighter.

Happy reading!

The richest moron in the world.
I’d much prefer a list of books not recommended by Bill Gates.
Read just one.
These will be the fifty cent books by next summer’s garage sales, then likely donated because even at that price no one will buy them,
How about leveling your kitchen table.
Did he throw Huckleberry Finn in the fake fire behind him?
LOL
I still have a copy, somewhere.
I’ll get to his reading list right after I finish my Aleister Crowley list...
Bill Gates
Gates has said he’s “pretty much an atheist” and that belief in a god “makes zero sense.”
I am not surprised.
Bill Gates can pack those books.
I have told this story before. But I think it fits here.
I spent many years teaching in urban high schools. And one day I got a packet from the Gates Foundation. It contained 30 blank applications for college scholarships. And there was an instructional sheet for me, the teacher.
I was to pass out the applications to my homeroom kids. Most of these kids came from very poor families. So this sounds really good, right? Bill Gates sure is a swell guy.
But wait. The instructional sheet had a list of kids who were eligible for this scholarship. It was an extensive list. Blacks, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, Mexican-Americans, etc.,etc.
Only one group was missing. I was not to give out any applications to kids of European descent. I guess I was supposed to just ignore them when handing out the applications.
To hell with that! I will not be a party to any racist program. I threw the entire packet in the trash.
Why is this asshole center stage?

LOL! It would be most appropriate these books didn’t work properly. Missing pages, pages printed upside down, etc.
I just read an outstanding book called STONER. I cannot recommend it more highly.
Typo in my post #17. I blame it on distractions caused by my cat. It should read:
It would be most appropriate if these books didn’t work properly. Missing pages, pages printed upside down, etc.
