"Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" is a power ballad[1] performed by the American musician Meat Loaf. It is a track off his 1977 album Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman. It reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a million-selling Gold single from the RIAA, eventually being certified platinum. It was the final song written for the album. The Japanese release changes the title of the song to use a percentage, translating it as "66% is good enough"

That was an great song on an amazing album.
Amazing that he survived getting hit in the head by a shot put flung from 62 feet away.
What was it that he won't do? (Hint: Michael Douglas throat cancer).
He also said that he’s waiting for the end of time to hurry up and arrive.
Little known (in America) songwriter Jim Steinman wrote this song. Jim wrote several big hits of that time.
He called the style Wagnerian Rock. Inspired by classical composer Richard Wagner.
Some of Jim’s other work includes;
“Making Love Out of Nothing At All” by Air Supply
“Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler
“But I Won’t Do That!” by Meat Loaf
“It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” by Celine.
A sexy fella. A lot we can learn here about women.
I’m an American and I knew that:)
I drove half way across the continent several times playing predominantly just that album with a little bit of radio on occasion.
there ain’t no Coupe de Ville hidin’ at the bottom of a Cracker Jack box
The Steinman/Meatloaf collaboration was great. Meatloaf had been trained in classical music but wanted to do rock. Steinman didn’t have the voice, imho, to do justice to the Wagnerian music he wrote. Meatloaf supplied the perfect voice to make those songs pop.
Both Steinman and Meatloaf wanted to do a follow-up to Bat Out of Hell within two-three years but since they were signed to different labels it didn’t happen.
A shame because I would have loved three or four more albums from the guys.
What he won’t do, in that song, is love her.
Actually, I think we can learn a lot about MEN in his songs:

He saw paradise by the dashboard light; then he slept on it.
Michael Douglas got throat cancer from marathon sessions of....eating.
The songs were written to be a musical but it never happened.
Incredible album.
I listened to it on 8 track the first time I heard it as a kid :)
One of his best songs. Really put his heart and soul into singing it.
In honor of this post, I had meatloaf for dinner tonight!
I listened on an 8 track in my ‘72 Gran Torino.
Impressive!
Meatloaf had some amazing songs.
Thanks, watching his face and talent is amazing.

I’m not a fan of that particular....behavior.
But I’d like to see some scientific evidence to back up your claim.
