Intelligent life 'extremely rare', study claims

The question of whether we are alone in the universe remains one of the biggest philosophical conundrums of our time. While it seems almost inconceivable that our civilization is alone in the cosmos, the fact still remains that we have yet to see any evidence to the contrary.

Now a new study by researchers from Oxford University's Future of Humanity Institute has cast further doubt on the likelihood that we will ever come into contact with intelligent extraterrestrials by determining that such civilizations are 'exceptionally rare' in the universe.

The basis for this, the scientists argue, is that intelligent life on Earth required multiple 'revolutionary transitions' over billions of years, and that the odds of this happening on other worlds are very slim.

Well, it’s certainly rare in Washington, D.C.

Let’s assume that aggression is a natural survival trait of all life forms...

The more intelligent life forms become - - the more that trait is used, amplified and destructive.

The time between when a life form evolves to the point it CAN destroy all other life forms - and the time it DOES kill all other life forms might be six hundred years...

That’s a blink in the eye of time...

In the Democratic Party, and the MSm, intelligent life is non-exisitant.

Even on this planet.

Why would they expect to find it somewhere else?

"If Intelligent life advanced in other worlds. Why is ours devolving?"

Best question.

I suspect it is because people 'tap out' on advancing their intellect -- to the extent intellect enhances apprecation of Life and devotion to God -- much earlier than they used to.

The Chinese have backslid into an atrocious, rotten Confucianism.

The Indian sub-continent is the ugliest living embodiment of predetermination in this realm through the unquenchable caste system.

But most importantly, Churchill summed up the worst-case scenario:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy."

I came to the same conclusion after reading just one book. The Bible.

Hell, 70+ million Americans voted for biteme and the whore — two people who slept their way into and through politics.

Proof intelligent life is rare.

>>Lets say you are an observer.
You look.

You don’t see any intelligent life.

Does that mean there isn’t any? No.

Does it mean there is any? No.

It does mean, as far as we can detect, there isn’t any.

Lack of evidence supports the proposition biological intelligent life is very rare or non-existent outside of out own.

It says nothing about the supernatural, by definition.<<

IOW, absence of proof is not proof of absence.

The universe is billions of light years across studded with billions of galaxies each containing billions of stars.

There could be millions of planets with “intelligent” life at this very moment, but the concept of “this very moment” means absolutely nothing if they are separated by millions of light years.

Matter, from the tiniest subatomic particle to the largest biological molecule, contains all the mathemactis for and is an erector set for life.

The Navy has even filed patents on a non air breathing propulsion system that can fly the vehicles. This would explain the ability to work under water.

The average scientist needs two data points to extrapolate. The exceptional one needs only one data point. And the true genius can extrapolate with no data whatsoever.

Before I listen to any “scientist”. I want to know their thoughts on Global Warming. That’s how I gage Academia.

What ‘scientists’ can do with only one data point.

It is not only one data point.

We have examined all of the bodies in our solar system and there is no sign of intelligent life.
