at least 4 somewhat flashy and expensive optional tires removed.
replaced by what i consider lower quality rims and lower quality (imported) tires
did not change online web page sales photos
how to bargain?
> Negotiate?
> Man, walk away and go find another truck.
> You’re dealing with some dishonest people.
the regular sales person was not on duty. another sales person was, and told me about it.
i am presuming any of them would have told me about the problem before selling the truck to me. one of them did and that is enough for me to continue negotiations.
anyways thanks for the input. if no one had told me then i would have been more concerned.
The malarkey around here is crazy tonight! By God, back in Scranton our tires were made from processed grocery bags and the hooves of bovines! And we liked them that way!
Curly is right. I forgot to mention dont discuss financing before the deal closes and pay cash. If you have to finance go talk to your credit union and finance through them. Dealer financing is a rip off.
The engine is probably “stolen” too. Or the truck was flooded or something.
Top offer: scrap or pass to bigger sucker.
The other option is to find financing at your local credit union ir wherever. Walk in the dealership with a cashier check made out in the amount you are willing to pay. Ask them deal or no deal. It has worked for me.
>so make an offer that is reasonable to you and if they say no walk out. Go back i. a few days if they still won’t take your offer and you have to have that truck I guess you will have to pay their price.
yah, maybe something like that.
it is the beginning of the month and the last month of the calendar year. i would not describe myself as in desperate need of the truck although i confess to have lust in my heart for it.
if people are busy buying christmas gifts then maybe that is less competition for me making an offer favorable to me.
for example, this early in the month, and it is a 2020 model, i could try a 5% cut off their current asking price or something like that, just to get their attention and see what happens...
Lol! Is that a Biden quote?
Sounds like something he would say.
Roger that.
Maybe just dont buy them unless you have the stolen ones to put back on.
I don't do dealers.
Ford-Ram-Chevy-GMC-Toyota??? Just curious...
The new municipal buses are supposed to be really quite convenient!
Also, biking might be a viable alternative for you. Those new bike lanes offer a high degree of safety.
I just can't understand why anyone would want to spend as much as two thousand dollars for a smelly motor vehicle where there are safer, and environmentally cleaner, alternatives.
And besides: Right now, during the Covid Crisis, do you really have any legitimate reason to leave your home?
Regards,
That or hundred dollar bills work great as bargaining chips.
Tough crowd.
I got it.
:D
Find the wheels online, make offer minus that amount.
Heck yeah, Fat! Our grocery bag tires rolled over Pennsylvania like the tracks of a team of pony soldiers! We took whole towns, sniffing the hair of homecoming queens as we went! Those were by God glorious days until Trump came along, with his expensive optional tires! It was never the same after that! You know that! C’mon man!
You seem to know a lot about it.
Did you do it?
LOL
