Next year is "going to be catastrophic" in terms of worldwide humanitarian crises, World Food Program executive director David Beasley warned on Friday, per Reuters.
Driving the news: The stark outlook comes as many countries contend with not only the coronavirus pandemic, but also possible famine, economic instability, conflict and other humanitarian crises. A record 235 million people will need humanitarian assistance and protection next year, a nearly 40% increase from 2020, the UN projected earlier this week
On Wednesday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged nations to take greater action on climate change to end the "war on nature," saying "the state of the planet is broken." What he's saying: “2021 is literally going to be catastrophic based on what we’re seeing at this stage of the game,” Beasley told a special meeting covering COVID-19, per Reuters.
The WFP chief also said that famine is "knocking on the door" of dozens of countries. 2021 is likely to be “the worst humanitarian crisis year since the beginning of the United Nations," Beasley added. "We’re not going to be able to fund everything ... so we have to prioritize, as I say, the icebergs in front of the Titanic.”

Agree. I know many people who are paying vast amounts of attention to their 401Ks and stocks (they will show you their pie charts and graphs for hours if you let them), but they have 5 cans of soup, 2 bags of pasta, and some condiments in their very large pantries. They have no sources of backup power, and one flashlight on hand with (probably) dead batteries.
What's coming are massive food and distribution shortages - all man made. I believe power "rolling blackouts" as well. Combined those with the COVID hysteria (along with their next variant of COVID-21 that they will unleash soon), and these are the Perfect Strom ingredients to cattle prod humanity into the Great Re-set slavery.
Just look at 2020 - food production went into a tailspin because over 40% of all food production in the US goes to restaurants (or at least it did prior to 2020). The restaurant industry has literally been decimated, and with it, many vegetable, fruit, livestock, and dairy farms.
The United States has not seen widespread famine since the Civil War, and that was regionalized to parts of the South and some cities. WW II saw rationing, but food production in the US soared during the war years, and "Victory Gardens" produced massive amounts of vegetables in the United States.
Even during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, the main problem wasn't famine per se, but a lack of jobs and therefore money to purchase food.
Food shortages would almost certainly collapse our economy, and with it - the markets.
The Satanic Globalists are rubbing their hands with glee.
Metmom - you and have focused on the same verse in Revelation.
I believe that in the new Socialist Utopia, the slaves will work just to stay alive during the global famine, but the rich and the elites will have plenty and rule over us (hence the oil and the wine, which in ancient times were considered more as luxury items for the rich rather than daily bread to just survive).
My advice is to stock up on food (including flour, yeast, salt, and sugar), obtain alternate power sources such as solar power stations or gas/propane generators, purchase camping and oil lights - and keep them on hand. Also, seeds that germinate if you plan on growing anything (as metmom stated).
But beyond that, we need to stay in prayer. All of these things can physically assist us and keep us going, but without God, we are naked against the forces of wickedness that are arrayed against us (Ephesians 6:12).
I’ve been posting this message for years and it’s amazing how much ridicule I get from the peanut gallery.
Everything you posted is spot on and it’s going to happen, if not in 2021 maybe 2022. Food production has been decimated worldwide over the past 3 years with either massive droughts, flooding, locust waves, the “pandemic”, and we’re starting to see incremental inflation show up at your grocery store. Compare 1 dozen eggs last year to this - it’s up over 100% (that’s only one example).
This ‘great reset’ and our rigged election might be the last shots in a globalist coup to control and murder the world population by the Satanists.
AMEN!
The spiritual is THE single most important thing we can deal with.
Without that, everything here is meaningless and for nothing.
Eternity is a LONG time and there's no changing your mind at that point.
Do it now.
“WW II saw rationing, but food production in the US soared during the war years, and ‘Victory Gardens’ produced massive amounts of vegetables in the United States.”
My Mom grew up poorer than poor in Rural Wisconsin. She boarders on a hoarder when it comes to food, but I totally understand it. She certainly made sure her own family never went hungry when we hit lean times, and I thank her for that. My Grandma (her mother) was also an amazing from-scratch cook who could throw together a meal from one leftover potato and whatever Grandpa shot that day, LOL! Her homemade bread was worth fighting over, though every loaf she baked, ‘wasn’t her best effort.’ ;)
My Dad’s side of the family was a little better off, but the stories Grandpa (Dad’s Dad) would tell me of The Great Depression (which is what we’ll experience if the Socialists get their Great Reset) were always fascinating to me, and VERY instructive.
Grandpa supported a wife, a toddler (my Dad) and his Father-In-Law during those years. He worked ANY job he could find, no matter how lowly, to bring in the cash while his Wife’s family, who had money and never lost it, bought up real estate and whole homes with all the furniture in them - hence the reason I own a lot of ‘antique’ furniture - that no one younger than me is remotely interested in, anymore! ;)
As for Beau and I, we live pretty close to the dirt as it is on our farm. We just got a FREE culled steer (Angus/Holstein cross) to raise for meat from the guy who rents our crop land and since we’ve had a mild fall - still have about 500# of potatoes to dig. Beau is a great hunter and fisherman, and I can throw together ‘emergency rations’ having learned to cook from scratch thanks to Mom and Grandma. We have no debt other than a little crop land that pays all the other taxes and utilities around here. I feel confident that we ‘Rural Hayseeds’ will fare pretty well, no matter what comes our way.
We actually had a ‘what if hard times hit’ conversation last night at dinner, and we’ve got a plan in place to liquidate some assets so we have more cash on hand...in the gun safe, because there’s room now that we lost all of our guns and ammo in that horrible boating accident a few years back. ;)
We’ll be talking about Victory Gardens on the Weekly Garden Thread in the upcoming weeks when most of us are indoors, planning for the NEXT growing season. It will probably be an ongoing theme this entire winter.
Maybe I can twist someone’s arm into doing a piece on cooking from a Victory Garden in the near future?
*Cough*Jamestown1630*Cough*
Y’all come!
No ridicule from me bro. 😁🤪👍
More predictive programming. The end line on that clip at post #100, Omen II:
“Winter is here again.”
Winter...as in “Dark Winter”.

My comment: When the international committee of the United Nations of Socialist Countries tells you something -you must listen !
Food scarcity is something that our grandfathers have told us about, pay attention when individual and community survival is at risk.
It's worse than that, western culture, as we know it, is at risk.
When China, and African nations who support slavery sit on the United nations Human Rights Commission, you know that you are at risk.
When the Socialists of the world unite and interfere with our elections then the government is at risk.
When one political party no longer disparages citizenship and national sovereignty, but actively sabotages elections and the economy,
then out nation is at risk.
Prepare now with both hybrid and Non GMO seeds for food production and economic reasons,
as too many of the worlds nations have failed to provide enough for their own national survival.
You have been warned !
Our grandparents didn't call it "Prepping",.. they called it "common sense" .
The "GREAT REST" is a contrived crisis, and the covid infection is their vehicle for obtaining Socialist control over world governments.
Do it now.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! The hourglass is run out of sand.
Oh Great LORD of Lords, protect us from Satans one world government.
Perhaps you have simply had enough.
Would’t blame you after all, I did read your book.
Amen.
Thank you for sharing your stories! It’s amazing to hear about our grandparents and parents, and what they went through. And learned. I think about how my generation focused on instant gratification, and frivolous things. The last few years, I have taught myself more auto repair, carpentry, and other skills. Never know when you might needs them. Blessings to you, your husband, and your beautiful farm.
PING!
PHOOEY!!! No one can ever replace Freddie not even Adam. The closet one who could would be Marc Martel.
Yep and then the Ice hockey incident
If you own nothing and rent everything, you are entirely dependent on the digital cash flow that pays for it all. And the businesses that rent it to you are guaranteed profits.

Where do you get those seeds?
Own nothing and rent everything… that sounds like when they built all the welfare housing in the cities. That did not work out very well. Many of them eventually got imploded. People just naturally take better care of something they own rather than something they rent. Favorite groups will not even have to pay rent.
What stocks fall into that category?
