Pelosi Now Backs Stimulus Deal Half the Size of What White House Offered Before Election

In a Wednesday statement with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she supports a $908 billion economic relief measure presented by a bipartisan group of lawmakers on Tuesday. The bipartisan bill is roughly half the amount offered by the White House during negotiations with Pelosi before the election.

In October, President Donald Trump's negotiators raised their compromise offer to $1.8 trillion after House Democrats had approved a $2.2 trillion package. But Pelosi opposed the White House compromise, arguing that it did not go far enough and that the language regarding the government health care response to the pandemic was not sufficient. Those negotiations resulted in a stalemate.

On Tuesday, nine senators - four Republicans, four Democrats and one independent - joined by the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus in the House of Representatives, unveiled a $908 billion compromise deal. Although the package does not include nearly as much aid as Democrats pushed for prior to the election, Pelosi and Schumer said they were backing the legislation in "the spirit of compromise."

Looks to me like they are bailing out the governments and not the people except for a little unemploy...

Stimulus update: What the bipartisan senators’ $900 billion package does and doesn’t include

"For starters, the bill sets aside $180 billion to pay out weekly $300 enhanced unemployment benefits, which would be paid on top of state benefits. That would replace the weekly $600 enhanced unemployment benefits which expired in late July. In addition, the package would include $82 billion for education, $45 billion for transportation such as airlines, and $25 billion in housing assistance.

"The stimulus deal would also include $160 billion in state and local government funding—well under the roughly $900 billion House Democrats had been seeking— and $288 billion in small business funding for the Paycheck Protection Program. The biggest item left out: Another round of $1,200 stimulus checks.

Scary how true that is. The useful idiots kept supporting them, too.

If they get away with this election, we'll all be voting democrat, no matter which bubble we fill or lever we pull.

The good news?

We'll be voting well into the 22nd century, think of it as a low grade immortality...

Simply explained...

They are licking their collective lips thinking about the trillions they will spend in haste & waste after the inauguration...

They are fat cat communists getting ready to finish off the Nation once and for all...
The sheeple barely raised an eyebrow at the blatant corruption the communists got away with during this election cycle...
Every subsequent election cycle will make this last one look as pristine as new-fallen snow...

The 1000 years of darkest tyranny officially begin in about six weeks... The sheeple have spoken...

“a $332 billion grant program for shuttered live venues and theaters,”

Whew. I was worried that this country didn’t have its priorities straight!

The 5th amendment says that the government must give you just compensation for property they take for "public use". The government routinely takes actions that are not "taking your property for public use", yet have the effect of rendering your property less valuable. Claiming discovery of a protected species on your property and restricting your ability to use the property is a case where the property isn't taken for "public use", but also renders your property less valuable without compensating you. It's abuse, but most people lack the resources to fight it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if something isn’t cobbled together by Christmas, so they can all take a bow.

“She made millions of unemployed people, most of whom lost their jobs through no fault of their own, suffer for months.”

Same as in 2008. Millions of 99’ers for the created change and fundamental transformation. Rumor has it Mike Lee’s h1-b visa bill passed today in the senate by unanimous consent. This is a spit in your face moment from the nobles. This is way past a tar and feather moment.

That’s interesting. I’m guessing most people are assuming Biden will take the WH, so there is no more perceived need for Ms. Overprice Ice Cream to make unreasonable demands and offers.

(The original PSC blueprint, which I was fine with, was about $1.5T).
