Short URL|Email Article|Comment|Contact|Print| A A Republicans in the Pennsylvania General Assembly formally introduced a joint resolution Monday declaring the general elections results in dispute and reserving the power to designate presidential electors for the Electoral College.
The introduction was the latest step in a process begun last week by state Sen. Doug Mastriano to reclaim the authority granted in the U.S. Constitution to appoint the electors to the Electoral College.
The six-page resolution outlined the reasons for contesting the results, specifically accusing the officials in the executive branch of changing election law by allowing for absentee ballots that arrived after 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted and the "partisan majority" on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court of allowing it.
It also said mail-in ballots were allowed to be corrected in heavily Democrat counties and were permitted to be counted without signature verification.
"A number of compromises of Pennsylvania's election laws took place during the 2020 General Election," the General Assembly said in a statement quoted by The Epoch Times.

It was kicked off by Mastriano, one of the good guys. Maybe a little support, rather than scorn, would be nice.
Sorry, this is a little bite of red meat to appease the screaming republican voters. It will do nothing.
Dead end here as Pennsylvania ended their session and the GOP leaders were happy to tell everyone exactly that yesterday.

This is a horrible idea. If you think confidence in the electoral system is shaky now, wait until they try saying screw the election, we will vote on the candidate we want.

Yes, there’s strong evidence of vote fraud and the legislature should assign the Electoral College voters directly.
I’m sure the left will claim that this would “disenfranchise” xxx thousands of voters. But, to declare Biden the winner under these circumstances would “disenfranchise” 75 million Trump voters.
The legislatures of all states which counted their votes in a manner that indicates that Biden won the state, and have Republican legislatures, should grant themselves the authority to choose Electors for Trump. We the American people should lobby the members of these legislatures and federal incentives or disincentives should be proposed to encourage their Electoral Votes go to Trump.
Americans...all, how can you all stand by idly, as Criminal, Corrupt, Cheating. Lie Telling, Democrat Party & Fake news Media, Scum & Vermin steal a POTUS election in the USA. They are out of session until they are in session. :-)
The “out of session” concept made no sense since the legislature would have to convene in some form to decide what to do with the electors.
This is exactly what needed to be done to pass US Constitutional muster. Courts will only address whether an election was unlawful according to the state legislature. Not the courts. Not the Governor or President. It's between the state legislatures and Congress (aka Electoral College) to arrive at the electors. Obviously you are too busy trolling to understand this concept.
