Sarah Fuller made history on Saturday afternoon when she became the first woman to play in a Power Five conference football game. Vanderbilt installed her as a kicker after the team’s other kickers were deemed unavailable due to COVID-19. Vanderbilt ultimately lost to Missouri 41-0, falling to 0-8 on the year. The team’s head coach, Derek Mason, was fired one day later. Shortly after making her big debut, Fuller did an interview with Courtney Cronin of ESPN. Among the interesting tidbits that emerged from their conversation was how Fuller got angry at her teammates at halftime.

I've never got that...
So she has me beat.......
You summarized it quite well for any non-kicker football player at any level who has gone through the two-a-day drills in August!
I don’t know how it works at any level above high school, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all to find that while everyone is doing up-down drills or wind sprints, they banish the kicker to the far side of the field to practice kicking.
That said, I still have the same respect for a kicker as I do for most athletes, since it is such a mundane job until it isn’t.
Then, I wouldn’t want that job for all the tea in China.
COACH: (to his kicker) “There is one second left and we are down by two points, and you need to kick a 40 yard field goal to win the Super Bowl. No pressure.”
Not taking anything away from him. Athletes who win consistently are regarded as @ssholes by most ‘normal’ people. Brady, Tiger, Earnhardt, MJ... the list is endless. A nice guy may win a title here or there... a few may do it twice... but more than that and you’re dealing with borderline personalities.
LOL, that’s a good point...very RICH borderline personalities.
To have that level of success requires a degree of athletic talent and being driven.
Driven people are often hard to work with, for sure...
I did not, but this one is built like a Mack dump truck. There are plenty of girls that retain femininity with an extremely athletic body. This one does not. She is built like a lineman. I hate to go here but I would check her testosterone levels. Either she is off the charts for a female or there has been some steroid use. You have to have testosterone or some steroidal/hormonal analogue to build muscles like that in response to weight lifting. Normal women get lean and strong with just a little bulking, and not near as bulky as she is.
No I know lunebacker women who are normal. Up here there is an old term for them.....rugged. she’s some rugged.
More reason not to watch football at any level.
Vanderbilt. The only school in the SEC that has women who can beat out their “men” (pardon the pun) for a spot on the football squad.

Oh it gets worse...
Vanderbilt kicker Sarah Fuller named SEC special teams co-player of the week
So done with sports.
It reads like a woman’s natural behavior
When u underperform blame the world
Check OP’s posting history.
Vandy guys must really suck. No guys good enough to kick??? No wonder the coach was fired.
Or just blame Trump.
That’s a silly statement to make. For one thing, football teams typically have just one kicker on the roster — compared to a dozen or more players who score touchdowns via run, reception, turnovers, punt/kick returns, etc. In addition, a quick look at an NFL kicker’s statistics these days will show that they typically get at least 20% — and as much as 40% — of their point totals from extra points. They can’t even attempt one of those unless someone scores a touchdown.
Now they just turn the game into a freak show by sending some clown out on the field who can barely even play the game.
Not sure why there needed to be two players this week. Meritocracy is on the wrong side of history.
What really pisses me off is she shared with UF player Kaderius Toney who actually returned a punt for a TD.
