I'm sorry, I read "hot dead stars" and thought:

We are already being told that the “Big Bang” theory requires a period of “Inflation” where “the laws of physics don’t apply”.

This really doesn’t mean that the laws of physics don’t apply, it means that we just don’t fully understand ALL the “laws of physics”.

The same is true here. It’s not that we’re “running out of explanations”, it’s just that the only explanations that we do know are simply inadequate.

Well, I do watch a lot of John Wayne movies, but not sure I’d call him hot.

But I blame this craze on TCM...Turner Classic Movie channel.
