Dear fellow FReepers, please include me in your prayers today; I am experiencing a dental emergency that I'm praying will be dealt with this morning and will not be overtly painful. Peace like a river, O Lord God. I know You are with me. Amen!
I go to the dentist at 7am pacific myself. The pain I already experienced. I got the bill!!
Oh wow same thing with me, this was in New York as well but this happened in Levittown Long Island and this guy as well bolted, never found him. I think if I did today I would kill him. The only teeth I have remaining are the ones in the front, all the back ones are gone and I cant eat anything too tough like steak.
Dear Lord Above, we pray for patriot777 today. Guide the dentist and dental assistants. May patriot777 be pain free soon. We ask this is Jesus’ name, Amen.

Tooth pain is awful!

Back in the 60’s went to a dentist who would partially drill out cavities and then fill the tooth so that it would need redrilling & refilling again in the future. Also insurance scam. Hard to believe he would do this to children...well to anyone.

Prayers for you, Patriot. Do not be afraid to ask the doctor for pain meds IF it is a difficult procedure. Been there... done that. Speedy recovery to you!

Patriot you have my prayers. For you and everyone else that may ever have tooth pain. Two words: Clove oil. Rub a little on gum area with a cotton ball or Q tip and pain will disappear for a good while until help arrives. I bought some even at Walmart but available most places where any kind of oil is sold. I always keep a bottle around after waking one night in agony from a toothache.
I once cracked a tooth longitudinally, and rather than immediately making an emergency appointment, I waited. Within 24 hours it was abscessed into maxila bone. Hardest pain I ever had to bare. Worse than broken bones.

I HATE DENTISTRY! I’ve had my share of dental problems and the bills and empty spaces where teeth used to be to prove it! Good luck and my sympathies.

What will help in future to prevent tooth issues is floss after eating every time!
I lost half of my teeth but since began the flossing routine, no more tooth aches !

I asked my dentist why such horror stories abound about root canals. He said you shouldn’t have pain; if you do, it’s because the dentist is not numbing you up properly. I’ve had 3 -— no pain.
I’ve been having serious dental work done. My last appointment I was terrified (implant). When all was said and done, my pain level was a .0001. My anxiety level beforehand was somewhere around 17.
It all started last year. I had been in a bit of pain for some months beforehand because, well, you know, the dentist. I kept putting things off until my jaw swelled a bit and my daughter called me, not knowing my dental situation, and told me her dad’s best friend had just died because he didn’t take care of a dental problem.
Praying for you, bro.
From now on, keep those dental appointments, get your teeth cleaned regularly, probably should do it every three months, it gets less scary the more you go. And the cost? What is the cost of being able to eat? Having a nice smile? Living without tooth pain? Pay it in monthly installments if you have to. YOU ARE WORTH IT. Oh, and one more thing. IMPORTANT: Floss every day! It only takes a minute. Big rewards down the line. Hugs.
