Time to stiffen your representative's spine !

Posted on 11/17/2020 2:31:10 PM PST by DrHFrog

It is time to call on all like-minded Constitution-loving citizens of the contested states to begin the lobby effort of their legislators. Should the Supreme Court invalidate the results of those states due to fraud, then it falls on the legislators to send the slate of electors from their state. While we assume those states with Republican legislator majorities would send Trump electors I'm not so sure they will have the fortitude to do so. If all Freepers, and their families and friends start writing/calling/cajoling them now and letting them know they demand they vote for Trump electors or they will be out of office next time they are up for election. These electors must be made aware that their careers are at stake !!

We need to find a way to get more regular, patriotic folks who give zero f***s about money, power, etc., to run for seats in their state legislature.

I’ve been thinking about it - and that would actually be the ideal position for me - part time gig in the state assembly being an a-hole. Absolutely no desire at all to use it as a stepping stone and go to DC.

Time to stiffen your representative's spine !

Didn't Kamala cause a stiffy to get to be Attorney General?

Do we all want to be Kamalas causing stiffies across the land?

My reps are Democrats but this is actually in my favor. Arizona needs some RAT votes because the perfidious Governor will not call an emergency session. (I registered RAT to vote Bernie in the primary to help foster chaos) I realize most RATs are soulless scum but since the end of America is at stake here I want to be sure I did everything I could think of to resist

“the second to last sentence”

That is the penultimate sentence.

____________________________________________________

The Constitution clearly says that state legislatures determine election rules. If the arbitrary rules made by judges and election commissions is allowed to stand in violation of the legislature rules, then from now on judges will chop and change the rules as they like. This is a ruling where the Constitution has been violated. If they get away with it, then just ignore the Constitution from now on. SCOTUS has a duty to rule.

“Should the Supreme Court invalidate the results of those states”

This is the never Trumper message du jour.

NO NO and NO. The lawsuits AT MOST need only create doubt. The information can be introduced and then withdraw the case before a ruling.

The judge and jury is the legislator. The SCOTUS will rule ONLY on if the legislators can appoint Trump Electors, and that’s clearly in the Constitution. At no time should SCOTUS be asked to rule on the fraud evidence. Needless danger there.

I have a Democrat representative here in Oneida County, NY, so forget that. He was up for re-election this election, and after more than two weeks, they have still not finished counting ballots. Republican Tenney was over 12% ahead of Brindisi on election night, but of course now that absentee ballots are being tallied, her lead has shrunk to 1.7%. Ballots for Brindisi have been 3-1 for absentee votes. There are still 12,203 ballots to be counted. Ballots had to be postmarked by the 3rd, but were allowed to be accepted up until November 10th. Tenney lost by less than 1% two years ago. I can see the Democrats finding enough ballots to keep Brindisi in his seat.

I’m in downstate NY and have been calling & emailing state legislators in Pa, Mich, & AZ - several have actually responded even though they know I’m not a constituent. Dick Morris said something like a politician getting 10 calls on an issue gets there attention; one hundred calls terrifies them. Hopefully thousands of calls & emails might put a spine in them.

I’m surprised they’re not using the excuse of their offices being closed because of COVID. I’m in NY and have tried these past months to call Schumer’s office, as well as Pelosi’s, and have only gotten a voice message that the office is closed. I’ve sent emails when I couldn’t connect with a person, but didn’t expect a response, and I never got one. The State Assemblywoman for my district is a Democrat. She just got re-elected. I’ve never bothered calling her, but have called my Republican State Senator’s office. The problem is that Democrats control both State Chambers with a large majority. Republicans will probably never gain control ever again...at least not in my lifetime.

You are absolutely correct. The legislators could decide on their own volition to send electors who would vote for a candidate other than the one who, at least, by fraudulent counting, “won.” However, this would take a lot more than a stiffened spine ! It would likely take toxic doses of viagra and testosterone combined. They might be a little more inclined to send Trump electors if the Supremes made a statement about the massive fraud which was enough for them to void the votes of the entire state.

I agree with that.

And I don't see a rule where the legislatures are prohibited from talking to one another. They could collectively set the Electoral College votes so that neither Trump nor Biden win, which would then throw the contest into the House. This would give the legislatures a little bit of a cushion from the firebombing that would ensue.
