Sunday night my husband went to the hospital because he was feeling winded (48 years old). He had had shoulder surgery about 2 weeks prior so he was chalking it up to tensing too much from pain.
They did several tests on him, admitted him, more tests and then told us he needs an open heart triple heart bypass (family history)-- we are devastated and could really use your prayers right now.
My husband said "Have Faith" but to be honest, I feel like my wells are empty and I am having a hard time drawing upon them. I am scared...we have been married 30 years and he is our family's rock.
I know so many families here have gone through much more and I have so much to be thankful for... we probably found it a month away from a heart attack (50% clog, 90% clog, 80% clog).
Surgery is tomorrow at noon and I would appreciate you holding my husband Keith up in your prayers...thank you freeper family~
Prayers up
UPDATE— Dear Freeper Family— how very much I appreciate all the prayers, words of encouragement and suggestions. I read all of them as I waited.
My husband got out of surgery and it went well THANK GOD! His heart is strong...they did the triple bypass plus one branch of the other. The doctor said everything else was working well. Before he went into surgery I felt more peace than I had in the past several days and I know it was because of all the prayers holding me up so thank you! I wasn’t the disastrous mess I have been.
He is now in ICU hopefully for only 24 hours then into the regular room and then starts the recovery. How very much I have appreciated you seeing me through a difficult time... if in the upcoming weeks Keith crosses your mind in the midst of the insanity going on in the world right now, please say a quick prayer for him. Would really appreciate it!
Again thank you for being here for me during a difficult time!
Thank you for the update and big THANKS that everything went so well! Praying that healing will go normally, and that his medical team will be led and guided.
Prayers continue for you all.
Very glad to hear that everything went well. Another prayer sent for his continued recovery and for peace and strength for you both during this time.
So happy to hear the good news, terart! I will keep you and Keith in my prayers.

Give credit to the Great Physician and in your testimony, point to Him. Your testimony is what leads others to Him, changes lives and redeems souls. You’ve been placed in this time for this great opportunity.
Thankful the surgery was successful and that he’s doing great.
Glory to God alone
Great news! Continued prayers for healing.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for hearing the prayers of Terart and all who have been praying for Keith. Please continue to grant healing and surround them with Your strength and comfort.
We pray with immense gratitude,
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
May God grant Keith a full recovery and guide him throughout all things. Praise God!
We praise Thee o Lord for the success of the surgery. May Thy servant recover fully.
In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
I am so glad to hear that your husband’s surgery went well. I will continue to pray for his quick recovery, and return back home. May the Lord bless and keep you all.
Prayers up.
Remember that he is in the good hands of God and the surgeons and expert staff he has guided to help him. I am thankful for the good news.
Keep us posted if you can spare the time and energy under your situation. Try to be calm (easy for everyone else to say).
God bless you and yours.
Great news... More prayers...
Prayers up.
Sending prayers for your husband and you. I know this is scary but I think your husband may be right. Keep the faith!
Please post an update when have a chance and take care of yourself.
My prayers continue for you and Keith.
May the Lord know the depths of your heart, and continue to bless you both.
CABG's are common these days...but not for 48 yr olds. Although prolly might be genetic...Any history in his family?
I've seen 88 yr old people get a CABG...so..hopefully it goes well.
I work in the healthcare biz...if you have questions...I might be able to help.
Good luck to you and yours!!
The cardiologist said that sometimes the vessels work their way around blockages and grow new blood vessels.
This is very true...Angiogenesis...it happens.
Thank you for the update.
Prayers for continued progress.
So very happy things are going well, prayers for you both.
