Anyone else feeling this way right now?
It’s like waiting for the results of a procedure like a colonoscopy or a biopsy. You know in your heart you’ll be fine, but you’re feeling anxious over the slight chance something may be wrong. I think most of us are feeling like that right now about tomorrow night.
Funny you would mention this! I remember on election day in 2000, while listening to Rush Limbaugh, a listener called and said how excited he was that after eight long years we were almost rid of Bill Clinton. Rush said, “I know, it feels like being a kid on Christmas Eve!” That comment has always stuck with me, and Rush was right.
Super Bowl is just for one season, this election will have ramifications for years to come.
It feels like the night before a major storm honestly.
People at the store buying bread, milk, and toilet paper. Quiet conversations on “where are you going to go?” if things get bad. People saying “you can stay with us”.
I am in the sticks, my family in the big cities are planning to exfiltrate first thing in the morning.

Yep, good times but knock on wood. The next 4 years are going to be great but after that, not so sure.
It feels like I am waiting to hear back from an Indian manager for an IT position, where the six other candidates are also Indian and far less qualified than I am.
It feels like I should be rechecking my ammo supply in case I have to shoot a few of Santa’s reindeer.......

I know that I’m checking the local news to see if any riots and idiots are in the areas of town I usually work in. If there is, I’m staying home.
I went to bed at 9am Central time on election night 2016. NOT GONNA MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!
It feels like I’m in a beautiful, comfortable family room. Great music, food and family gathered for another fine night.
And then the doorbell rings...who could it be, everyone is accounted for already..wait.. wasn’t there a breaking news report earlier about an escaped convict from a mental hospital being on the loose..?..??..

In some cities Saint Brick will be coming through the busiess window not the chimney and instead of leaving presents he’ll be leaving WITH presents. But that will only add to the charm.

I spent the last week dropping lit for GOP candidates in a contested third ring suburb of Minneapolis.
I don’t know what to expect or what to think, either locally or nationally. I do hope that it’s good across the board.
It’s weird. It like the minutes or hours before a big storm hits. You know it’s coming but you just don’t know what to expect.
