I want Biden to win...
The reason is I have invested a bundle in oil and want to make a profit.
I prefer, as millions of politicians, celebrities and rich businessmen (except Donald Trump) do, a lot of money in my pocket today over well being of the whole society.

Well it almost never post so you or pretty well on target.
What the post infers is that if you are already part of interest in an active well, and supply goes down due to less drilling then the price goes up for oil and gas. But as far as future wells go, there would be fewer.
You shorted oil and petrol companies?
Brave choice.
In the short term, a recovering economy, ie Trump re-elected, is going to increase demand. The long term, i feel that the oil companies days are numbered because of new technologies.
BTW, I am certain that you can’t count on anything Biden actually says he is going to do, because someone will tell him to do it differently once he is in. Recovery in the economy will be important, more important than covid, in the short term. So, expect oil to recover for a while regardless.

I suspect the Democrats will quickly exit Biden stage left within days after the inauguration. He resigns for the good of his family, the news media goes totally silent on him and the 24/7 spin is focused on Kamala tearing down Trump’s legacy by banning fracking, ending construction of the wall, resuming endless wars in the Middle East, opening the US market completely to China and India. We’ll see new “hate speech” legislation, packing of the Supreme Court which will then “approve” restrictions on the Bill of Rights. Conservative talk radio will be regulate out of existence under hate speech rules. By 2024 we’ll have internet voting which of course will be contracted out to Google or Amazon to administer.
Likely the state attorney general in NY announces indictments of Donald Trump and his sons followed by Kamala’s new Attorney General announcing investigations of Trump and his cabinet officials. Pelosi does the same in the House. Trump spends the next 4 years defending lawsuits, tax investigations etc. His cabinet members and senior members of the administration are bankrupted (like Flynn) by attorney fees. By the time the 4 years are over, no conservative who isn’t extremely wealthy will even consider serving in an appointed government job due to the personal economic cost.

Well tough shit, many of us have 401’s, with energy and oil investments. No question we will support our great President. If you are so concerned about your oil investments take a hike and shove them where the sun don’t shine.
