Absolutely.
Biden is taking lids.
The Amish by nature are conservative, Christian, small business owners (i.e, farmers) & pacifists who'd normally align with Republicans.
However, to pick an example, when Obama ran against war-hawk McCain, many Amish were quite sympathetic with Obama.
Later they were as disappointed as others with Obama.
This year I'd guess, to a man or woman, the Amish like President Trump over his Democrat challengers (who?).
But even in Pennsylvania the Amish are a mere drop in the bucket -- less than one half of one percent of potential voters.
And the vast majority are not even registered to vote -- it's not forbidden to vote, but they like to stay out of politics as much as possible.
If some do vote, they would likely all vote Trump.
On the other hand the Amish, being good Christians, touch a lot of non-Amish lives in a positive way, and my guess is nearly all of those will vote Trump, thus multiplying the Amish influence by orders of magnitude.
I’m going to a Trump rally in La Habra, Calif. this afternoon—at 2:00 PM at Imperial Highway and Beach Blvd. if anyone in the North Orange County area is reading this. There will be a big one in downtown Huntington Beach next Saturday at noon.
I agree they are all or nearly all Trump supporters, but I dont know if they will mix enough to go to a rally. I doubt it, but you never know.
Best of luck to you and your fellow patriots.
That makes me tired..I don’t know how he does it. He has to watch it recovering from the virus, he can overdo it and that would NOT BE GOOD. I’m not even sure that man can rest when he gets on board AF One on his way home OR to another rally. We all know what it’s like when our brains don’t shut off when we want to sleep - imagine what his is doing!
I was just thinking yesterday of him not going to any New England states and here is going to NH...I saw an article that Biden could get 208 electoral votes from 16 states - 29 from 5 New England states - without NH...
President Trump is unreal. Unreal!
Hope he doesn’t push himself too hard
From what I read, The President arrives at Bangor International Airport around 2:30pm.
The Amish delivered bigly for trump in 16. Little known but important fact
Yes I remember reading in 2016 that Trump won PA basically by knocking on every single Amish door.
Trump can afford to lose 35 EVs and still win. Of PA, WI and MI, I think Trump will hold MI. What can change is if Trump loses the 3 states but takes MN, he then has to win NH. I think the biggest impact to the Republican Party was losing Virginia. That was 13 EVs which would have given Trump 319, meaning he could have lost the big 3 and MN would be irrelevant.
I really hate the numbers game.
“As Ohio goes, so does...”
Biden Cowers In Place.
The nuns from last night, the Orthodox Jewish rabbis who just publicly supported Trump, the Amish if they will make their support public...all sorts of religious groups coming out publicly.
I think he takes Michigan and Wisconsin
My personal opinion also said he will take Pennsylvania but it is comforting to know we dont really need it
Amish and Mennonite parade is nothing like you've ever seen
I don't remember the Amish ever holding Trump parades. That's some serious enthusiasm.
I watched President Trump's rally in Lititz and it featured prominently four young Amish-looking men standing behind the President, enthusiastically clapping.
I say "Amish-looking" rather than "Amish" because their dress seemed a bit off to me, but that might just be something they do locally.
For sure, Lancaster is known as a hot-bed of liberalism among the Amish -- keep in mind that what's "liberal" to the Amish is quite different than to us! ;-)
Traditional Amish want nothing to do with "English" politics, but some may understand that supporting conservative politicians could benefit them -- or at least minimize the damage from "English" culture & laws..
Four young men, some possibly Rumspringers, does not suggest to me they've suddenly abandoned traditional isolation.
