In the latest TV ratings, Fox’s coverage of the World Series opener between the Dodgers and Rays averaged 7.2 million total viewers and a Tuesday-topping 1.8 demo rating — though down sharply from the preliminary numbers (11.6 mil/2.9) for last year’s Nationals/Astros Game 1. Check back later for the final tally!
NBC | The Voice (7.5 mil/1.0) was down a tick from Monday’s premiere, but teed up Transplant for Stateside highs of 4.3 mil/0.6.
ABC | The Bachelorette (4.1 mil.1.1) slipped about 20 percent from last week. Leading out of that, a Supermarket Sweeeeeeep! encore did 1.8 mil and a 0.4.
THE CW | Swamp Thing (723K/0.1) and Tell Me a Story (379K/0.1) both dropped some eyeballs while steady in the demo.
CBS | The FBI Declassified (2.9 mil/0.4) was expectedly down from last week’s post-NFL outing.

What World Series?
In all fairness. it was a short season, we never really went through the rituals of baseball season. I’m not a baseball nut, but my guy friend is. He watched it and he even wasn’t enthusiastic. There is an order to things....without order it’s just not the same.

I'm done with sports, but I think the fake short season has a lot to do with the low ratings. I was not interested when I heard they were doing it. When they went full BLM for the opening, I skipped the whole "season".

Mookie Betts is an incredible player who gives his all on the field. The Dodgers have great chemistry and are remarkably capable of making a comeback when behind in the score.
This is the ONLY sporting event I've watched the entire year. Glad I saw it!
Dodgers were always my team, but I took a knee on the sports some time ago.
Not too bright opening the season during a pandemic by taking a knee.
However, when Burn-Loot-Murder intimidated the pro leagues, nobody wants anything to do with profession sports (whether pro or college). Watching a bunch of semiliterate goons bouncing or hitting or kicking a ball just doesn't excite me.
When did Baseball season start???
Is this Major League Baseball? The one that hates whitey, supports oppression, burn loot murder marxism? The one that hates America and protests our national Anthem? Don’t care what they do, as I am long done with them for this year, next year, and any year after that.
Any organization that states they hate me and the principles of freedom, well, I have no use for them and will not in any way support them even passively.
The 1st Month of the season ratings were up, then they started with the BLM crap and rating quickly plummeted after that.

I used to be a fanatic Dodgers fan. I stayed up late at night listening to the 1965 World Series broadcast over the Armed Forces Network in Germany. But in 2020, I give Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham get priority.
Isn’t it amazing how if you make millions of dollars off China, you get immune from the virus and can sit in the stands and watch the world series and root for the Dodgers like LeBron?
