George w. bush doesn’t like Donald Trump. He doesn’t like how Trump is behaving as president. He clearly doesn’t like the division in the country Trump has fostered. He knows American democracy is under threat. He has tried to be reassuring, telling people that America has survived rough times before—a way of using insistent optimism to diplomatically acknowledge the rough time the nation is going through now.

But mostly George W Bush does not like how Trump showed what an utterly inept president George W Bush was. But he can’t say that so he says those other things.

Part of me thinks we would have been off if Algore won in 2000. We’d still have had 9/11, Algore would have most definitely botched the response (even more than Dubya) and I think we might have had an actual Republican (not Bushie) in 2004.

The second dumbest President after Obama. Couldn’t even sound out the pronunciation of nuclear. Yeah kablam Nucular war!

The whole family is garbage. Thank God Trump put them out to pasture for good.

That’s what they really hate.

The division was there decades before W was elected, and it is between the elite and the rest of the American people. Finally, we have a president who will recognize it for what it is.

Ronald Reagan was the FIRST Republican I ever voted for, so I was a bit late to the party. I had no idea such NWO skullduggery was in place.

My last eleven years as a FReeper have been aneducation.

From the article: “If Biden wins and Trump refuses to concede, though, the Democrat would likely lean on Bush to speak up...”

Wait, are we talking about GW Bush who pursued post-election litigation all the way to the Supreme Court in order to reach the White House? That would be rich if he were the one to tell the President to stand down after a contested election. Anyway, this is all Democrat fantasy.

W will be remembered by history as the conqueror of Baghdad

Despite his bluster Saddam had a pipsqueak military. That could have been accomplished by any decently competent CIC.

I’m of two minds. Its election time, The Atlantic is leftist-elitist propoganda, and they want to naturally put a spotlight on a GOP split and the “never Trump” faction. So its all propaganda.

On the other hand, many DC beltway RINOs have showed their uniparty hand and want to return to the cozy country-club Republican days. That’s a fact.

Is GWB one of them? I don’t know and don’t care.

One thing is for sure - if Trump wins, its his GOP and it will be remade.

If Trump loses this election, the Beltway Rinos are preparing for a beer-hall putsch to take back control of the GOP

If Trump were POTUS on 9/11 all of those Saudis would not have been allowed to board the only flights allowed to take off in this country, I assure you.

He clearly doesn’t like the division in the country Trump has fostered.

Gotta say one thing for Bush. He DID unite the country. Most everybody on both sides of the aisle were pretty disgusted with him by the end of his presidency.
